2003 Grand Surveyor GS285RS Question??

Unfortunately, most of Forest River's documentation on specific RV units are lacking so I have been unable to determine exactly the purpose of the two plastic water pipes with screw caps that come out on the bottom of the trailer.

With the caps unscrewed and the pump on, only one of the plastic pipes has water coming out. I am unsure where these plastic pipes tie into the system and their purpose.

Are they used to help in de-winterizing the water system??

2003 Grand Surveyor GS285RS
2003 Ford Excursion Power Stroke Diesel

Thanks
Kert

My flagstaff 831krss has those same 2 pipes coming out the back of mine also. One is red and one is blue (hot an cold, i assume). I noticed them the other day when i was washing it. Nothing was said about them when i picked up the unit and did the PDI and of course your not finding any info in the stack`o`manuals that you get with the trailer.
let us know if you find out what they are for.

My guess is that they are your LOW POINT DRAINS...used for getting all the water out of the system. (like during sanitizing or winterizing) Most trailers will have 2 or more capped lines hanging down just like that.

(and one for the fresh water tank to get it emptied)
