Exclamation 19rr

The very first year I had my 19RR the backdoor started a crease right down the middle from loading and unloading my Goldwing. Now I have this (will try and attach photo here). I will post more information when I'm done cleaning up.

OK I came across a new printer and since a test subject was necessary I opted for the rear door. This is what I came up with. There is still some touch up work to do but I think it turned out pretty well. What do you think?

Thanks so much. I can't wait to get it back out on the road again. We thought about putting a lantern or something right on the edge instead of the logo. Maybe next print I try that.

That's really nice!

How many people honk and wave to tell you that your ramp door fell off!

Well nobody yet. I just got it stuck on there Tuesday and I haven't had a chance to travel with it yet. I hope to get it back out soon! I have a few other updates to make first.

Yes. The dealer installed them for me. They are just dock bumpers that are used on loading docks. It raises the ramp up enough so that my gold wing clears when paired with an extension ramp that folds over from the top of the door. It's about four or five foot long. This is my second TH and I didn't want to mess with jacking up the trailer to load etc anymore. The door is heavier so I had them add a spring. It's close so if I'm not level and the front is down I sometimes have to jack it up anyway. I also had them remove the bent piece that covers the gap between the trailer and the door. That helps remove a lot and increases the clearance. I figure my wing probably won't get stuck in the cracks anyway.

I removed the aluminum transition strip and placed it on the garage floor with a piece of plywood on top of it. I then ran it over with my truck and flattened it removing about 80% of the hump. No problem loading or unloading the Harley while the trailer is attached to the truck. I also have a 3 ft extension attached to the door.

I don't think that's a bad idea. Mine is sitting in the garage doing nothing. I originally had it spun around the other way and flush with the floor of the trailer (so down inside the hinge) but that also meant that there were screws 1/3 of the way down the inside of the door and after 8 months of usage they started popping out. When I got my new door put on I asked them not to reattach it. So far it's working very well. I don't think these doors were built for a heavy bike down the middle. I think they are built for four wheelers. There is more weight per contact point on a motorcycle too.

Very nice! I have wondered why more toy haulers don't do that but I was thinking a guy with an airbrush would have to paint it. My problem is I have mounted my spare to the door and then hang a bike rack above the tire on the door and put two bicycles on it. So it would hide all that neat idea. But hey, I love what you did. Now if more toy hauler owners do this we will know more about their toys as the drive by!

I was going to do the same thing and I casually mentioned it at the dealership and was immediately advised not to so now I have (or had) this big blank canvas. I currently keep my spare tire under the bed. I sure hope I never need it.

I am considering purchasing a 2014 19RR, my buddy has a Gold Wing, and I have a Road King...do you think you could fit two bikes?

Not in a 19rr. You'll need a much bigger trailer. At best you can possibly put a small moped up front with no way to tie it down. You might be able to put one in the truck if you had a long bed but way too much for a half ton. If you did have a bigger truck might as well get a suitable trailer.

my 25rr could handle two bikes but still need more tie downs installed. But for me
I'm happy just to be able to take my Electric glide classic when we go camping.
You might need to go up to at least a 21rr
to fit two bikes i think they are almost the
same length as a 25rr i believe
