19RR and "the shakes"

New to this 19RR and pull behinds. Prior RVing was in motorhomes when I was racing sports cars. Since then, tried a pop up for awhile because we probably weee only going to use it a couple times / year. Every time my kid tossed and turned in bed, the whole thing shook. I figured it was because the beds hung out over the frame. However, I am finding this 19RAR to be the same. Is it the scissor jacks? I am leveling side-side with blocks under the wheels and using the tongue jack to get to front back level then stabilizing with the scissors. Am I doing something wrong? I am using 4x4 blocks under the scissor jacks to make up some space.

thanks!

I had the same problem when I went from a Class A to the TT I could feel every time Jake would move around at night. your method of leveling sounds good consider doing this. make sure your wheels are chocked front and back both sides, if you have dual axles get X-chocks. use your stabilizers to take some of the weight off the suspension (I rase my rig about an 1" when stabilizing) consider installing a steadfast system or something like that. I did that and my rig is rock solid. Let the forum know the solution you use and how it works.

I think I will get a set of the X Chocks because I have a tandem axle and I don't chock my wheels. I'll bet that is a big contributor.

Not your trailer, but a pair of X-chocks and a pair of these https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000760FX4...ing=UTF8&psc=1
solved my issues. Neither works by themselves. The X-chocks stop front to back issues, but the suspension still compresses even with the stabilizers down. The jacks stop up and down, but we still had some movement front to back.

Bal-locks and X-chocks solved 98% of the shake for me.

I think there's already at least 2 threads concerning 'wobbles & shakes' not too much farther down under General.
Both have pics & explanations of different ways folks have addressed this issue.

Myself and a few others have installed another set of 4 scissor jacks in front and behind the double axles, 2 to each side.

A friend of mine came up with a longitudinal scissor system that runs across the rear bumper and one set up front on the right and left frames. I am going to have to call him now that we had a weekend where I wasn't the only one inside and felt the effects of others, especially my kid tossing and turning at night. I'll search for that thread as well.

Thanks

SteadyFast: 5th Wheel and RV Trailer Stabilizer

This is the system I use and really like it another is the strong arm system, many folks have fashioned their own. the combination of stabilizers, x-chocks and steadfast or other strong-arm system will make your rig rock solid.
