There has been some concern about using the tie down rings to tie down a motorcycle. If the trailer sways and the bike pulls on the rings they have come out of the floor. Has anyone had or heard of this problem?

I did just that with our current toy hauler. If there is any side load on the rings (actually they're triangles) they separate in the middle and will pull out of the base. Pull perfectly straight on them and all's well. I damn near tipped over our RT because of this issue and have since replaced them with gapless rings.

Pulled our (my) 2002 FLHTP to Sturgis and back from Kansas City and had no issues with the rings. Pulled over 2-lanes, interstates and some milled surfaces with no issues. The bike tips in at a little over 800 lbs.
