Our fridge is out again! Back at the dealer. They think the cooling system is broken. We've only had this rig since July! This is the 3rd time it's been in for the fridge!

I know. This is supposed to be a very reliable fridge. The first time, they said it was an "open circuit".
The next time, it was an open circuit again. Now the fridge won't cool past 55F and the freezer sits at around 35-40F. They are still testing it.

We have a 2015 39R12 with the Dometic fridge. Does the 2014 model also have the Dometic fridge?

Our 2014 39R12 has the double door Dometic fridge. Only problem we had was that it would not automatically switch over to gas when disconnecting from campground power. Dealer found a bad relay. Fixed under warranty, no more problems.

Our fridge has worked fine so far. We also have the doubles doors. On our last trip out we had on of the cargo doors on the driver side pop open several times when we were on rough pavement. It was the very front compartment that has the jack stability controller in it.

Well, they have found the problem with our fridge. We have to have the entire cooling system replaced! At less than three months old, I told them I wanted the whole fridge replaced. They said that they only do that if the problem is in the first month.

I had a problem in the first month, but they are sticking firm. I told them that if there is another problem, I will be demanding another fridge.

Question anyone had a bad experience from their dealer when they left camper for repairs? Well we got some bad news today. We had our 2014 Vengeance Toy hauler in for some warranty work and while it was on the Dealer lot some one broke into it and took three flat screen TVs, a blue tooth, amp., and stereo system. They also took our motorcycle helmets.

Porky, very sorry to hear that! I know insurance will cover it, but that's not the point. To have something like that happen, in a place where you would least expect it, makes you wonder just what other 'tricks' may have been played. Hope everything turns out well.

Earlier, there was a post here regarding slide out covers. These are something we have wanted, but just procrastinated about inquiring about them. When I took the 5th wheel in at the end of the season for our garage side door replacement, I remembered to ask the service department about them. Pete's RV, my dealer showed me their video, and I pulled the trigger immediately! No more getting up on a ladder to sweep off all the crap that has accumulated during a weekend, or longer camping trip! Or, worse yet, forgetting to do it, and damage the slide out seals, causing slide leaks and floor/wall damage down the road. They measured the slides, had them made locally and installed them quickly. $1400 bucks installed, for all three slides, well worth it IMHO.

I'm so sorry to hear about your theft Porky. I am always worried when I take ours to the dealer and remove what I can and photograph the rest. I feel less paranoid now.

Wow Ultraboy! That's a great deal for slides! We paid 2400.00 for ours, but they were the metal kind. They did have to rework them because there was little room between the front slide and the awning.

We haven't been able to take any trips in ours do to the fridge trouble, but hopefully that is behind us now.

We are hoping to go to Arizona in January and February for the big gem and mineral show and the RV show. We wish everyone a blessed Christmas and a happy New Year!
