Took me almost a hour to find out how to correct the E3 error on my refrigerator...had to spread some wires apart to finally find the reset button!

Does anybody know what the vent under the 2nd step leading to the bedroom is for? I'm here on the coast at SC in 90+ heat, and have hot air coming out of this vent killing my A/C which is running almost non-stop this trip.

Yuck! Sorry tjssixx, the 39R12 doesn't have a vent there. We have a drawer under the bottom step. Can you close it? Maybe use one of those magnetic register covers like they sell at Walmart? That's all I can think of. Sorry!

Heat return is what I thought. The wind last evening was hitting the RV on the side of the furnace inlet, I guess it could be from the air passing through. Never had this before on any RV I have owned before...is there a furnace inlet cover?

Could also be for heat to get to pass thru storage. Seems like I seen that vent when I was in that area doing my winterizing. Duct tape it for now

Hubby says we do have that vent. I don't know why I never noticed it. In Hawaii right now so I can't even check. I feel dumb. Sorry! Get a magnetic cover. The registers are all metal and you should be able to find them in a close color match to the carpet.

2014 Vengeance VGF39R12

Rigged some towels over the vent for today...making a difference in the RV's inside temp. Heading back home tomorrow then to the NC Outer Banks in 3 weeks for a 2 week trip.

yep, on our 39r12 the metal vent cover is only that - a cover to block your foot from ending up in a little cubbie annex of the storage bay.

if you look through it you can see right into a small walled off area that is part of (or connected to) the large bay (easier to do if it's dark in the rig at night and you put a light in the storage area.)

i'm assuming it's a ventilation/ heat expansion necessity. my husband says he thinks that's where all the wiring, plumbing, furnace, blablabla whatever (that last part's all me) come together for maintenance. he put in our composting toilet ventilation through there, i believe, and had poked around in there for all sorts of planning.

could be it's something that you may not want to block off. if you remove the thin wall between the inside steps and the full storage bay, you'll see more what you're working with, though and that'll help you decide how you want to solve your issue.

Nothing to do with my RV, but I have to vent. Coming home this Sunday from the SC coast my truck (2008 Ford F-350 DRW 6.4L) with only 53,000 miles erupted the radiator. Pulled of the road and meet 2 really nice families that were both RV'er's that extended help to us after Good Sam RV Roadside Assistance failed to live up to their agreement. GS offered little help in finding someone to even tow our truck much less the RV. After many calls, we made arrangements to get our truck towed back to our home (77 miles) using my brother-in law's farm flatbed trailer. Luckily we were so close to home. With the help of the family that we broke down in front of and their neighbor who had a F350 with a 5th wheel hitch who towed our RV to his house and allowed us to leave it their in his yard until my truck is fixed. I just today got my truck back after replacing both thermostats and the radiator - all seems fine for now. My wife called GS on Monday and complained about the service we reviewed and ask what we were paying for if they could not provide any assistance. Now some was our fault as I only had the basic plan that only allow towing to the nearest service center. I have taken care of that and now have towing for 100 miles to any place of my selection. They offered no help on the RV on the original call, so we had to make those arrangements as well. GS was suppose to tow the RV to nearest RV park, so I now that that in the 100 miles as well. I will say GS Customer Support since the call on Monday have made strides in trying to rectify the issues and have offered to pay my brother-in law his gas/time,fir coming a picking up the truck. They also offered to tow my RV to my home, but We told them we had that covered due to the family that towed it and allow it to stay in their front yard for 6 days. They have also offered to pay ($100) for my fuel to go and pickup the RV and bring it home. They listened to the 3 separate calls we made to them on Sunday and said it was inexcusable they way our call was handled. We are not RV+ Platinum Good pam Roadside members for 2 years at no charge. Hopefully after tomorrow the truck and RV will be back home, then ready for our NC Outer Banks trip in 2 weeks.

Three new issues on my 39R12 came up during our last trip. The recently installed slide toppers shed parts when I opened the slides, and the rear awning, which I have only opened once, would not retract electrically. Motor hums and blows fuse. Had to manually retract with a power screw driver and 7/16 nut driver. And someone liberated my 5th wheel lube plate, which reminded me to examine my pin box rating, which is plainly marked "18,000 lb. max, do not exceed." As the max gross is 21,000, and my actual weight when loaded with both trikes and full gear (no water, and only minimal fuel in the genny and toy tanks is 19,300, I'll be talking to the dealer about that detail when I once again return it Friday.
All in all, the problems have been minimal, and taken care of by the dealership quickly. We love our unit, and the good has far outweighed the bad!

I was told that it was rated that way cause its subtracting the pin weight. I asked during the purchase phase. I also spoke my dealer today. Should be able to pick up mine tomorrow. With the rain we've had they wanted to let everything dry a bit longer inside the shop and out of the weather. Have a trip planned this coming weekend. So I'll get it all checked out.

General question, but what brands off cleaners and waxes do you guys use on your rigs?

My last RV (Cedar Creek), the decals cracked all over the unit, so I am hoping to avoid that from happening on this unit. I was told not to wax over the decals and was told by somebody else it is fine.

I've been using the turtle wax ice stuff. So far seems to be working good.
