2015 25rr - tv
Hello again. I am working my way through a brand new 25RR and preparing for a trip later on. My 19RR didn't do well after a freak hail storm rolled through. Anyway, I think I'm going to like the 25RR a lot better.
One thing that really bugs me is the area where the television is mounted on the wall. I wanted to remove the mount and replace with a swivel mount. The current mount is mounted with little screws on a cabinet about as big as a large microwave (yes bigger than a breadbox). I was really curious as to what is in such a large space. In a camper that lacks so much in storage space. Why do they waste such a large area? My 19RR had a lot more space for clothes/towels etc. than this 25RR has.
So I broke into the cabinet last night and there's nothing in there. Just a giant hollow space between the helmet rack and another cabinet. Does anyone know why FR wasted this space? Could there be a reason for it? Just curious if anyone knew. Anyway I did finally re-enforce the area for a mount so the TV can be seen without sitting in front of it (at the kitchen sink essentially) but I'm inclined to put a door here in the future and have space for more stuff (so I can go out and get more stuff).
The biggest feature I like over the 19RR is not having to wedge between my bike and the back door to get in the camper while travelling. In other words, the door is up front rather than in the back. FR told me the door was in the back for weight/distribution reasons. I guess. There are a few other minor enhancements I like but that's the biggest.
