25V. Help! What is the "switch" above the level gauge AND how to set door code? Pix i

Knowing nothing about your rig I'm going to bet the switch is for your water heater. If you turn the switch on the WH will light in a few seconds and then the light on the switch should come on and remain on until you turn it off.

As for the door thingie... I'm clueless.

But now you can have a hot shower while you wait for an answer!

The propane water heater switch should be in the panel WITH the level gauges. I can't tell from the pic clearly, but I think it is the bottom left-hand switch. It probably says heat or heater.......and the bottom right hand switch says pump (which is the water pump).

Thanks. The water heater switch is the red at bottom left of gauge panel (pump on right). The switch in question lights on blue like other light switches, i cant figure what it operates.

If that is the case then the mystery switch is for tank heaters (to keep them from freezing) On my 5th wheel I have the LED panel, a separate switch for the WH and yet another for tank heat. Mercifully they hide behind a door.

Any water heater propane switch (as I should have said, the electric switch is someplace else) should have a light that indicates the status of the WH, whether it lit or not. As I said above, the WH light will come on a few seconds AFTER you push the switch. The tank heater will illuminate the moment you turn it on.

Make sure you have water in the WH, and push the button and see what happens. RVing is supposed to be an adventure!

Something to try, is on my RV I have a switch that controls the first overhead light when you enter the trailer.

You can turn the light on/off at the light fixture itself........but you can also leave the light on at the fixture and turn it off with the switch.

If you have the light OFF at the fixture, the switch does nothing. It ONLY works if the light is ON at the fixture first...........then the switch can control the light. Makes it easier to turn it on/off when entering/exiting the trailer.

Radio may have it also with the tank heaters.

Have you accounted for scare lights, patio light, step light?

I didn't know I had a step light until I set about making labels for all the unmarked switches in my rig! Took awhile to figure that one out as it don't show up good in the day time!

Just a guess but maybe black, grey and fresh water tank heaters.

Heaters would be the most likely, don't know why, all lighting is accounted for, i think!

All that stuff in my trailer is behind a little door. None of a series of light switches were labeled, so on the trip home I just wrote on them with a blue sharpie marker. Took a while to figure out what all they did. Fortunately the WH and tank heater were labeled!

I really like the little door. I put some hooks in there too and use them to keep keys and stuff.

I am surprised these switches are on the exterior wall. My camper has practically NO wiring in the outside walls, they even made little raceways for wiring to avoid putting wires into the walls. Things change.
