26rr front bedroom window ventilation.

I'm thinking about trading in my 25rr next year for a 26rr. Just wondering from current 26rr owners how they like the front bedroom? The drivers side window looks like the standard escape window which will open, but it doesn't look like the passenger side window opens at all. Can you confirm that is doesn't open? I boondock several times a year and I'm just afraid the front bedroom will get very warm if both windows don't open.

Wish passenger side did open. Drivers side is a real plus opening and red handle has a detent to stay open. Also, has a screen. We bought a 25RR in November 2013 and the 26RR came out shortly after. Used the 25RR through 2014, put in storage. Traded to 26RR in February 2015 and absolutely no regrets. Good luck on your decision.

As stated by others the long thin window is fixed, but the other bedroom one opens and with a little help from a clothes peg or small wedge can be kept partly open during rain as long as it is not blowing too much. I changed the bathroom fan for an automatic temperature controlled one and that helps.

I noticed only one ac vent in bedroom. Is it enough to keep cool?

I turn the bath AC towards the bedroom door as well, don't have any issues. Some past talk of the front room getting warm and mine did when the AC was on auto do to no air flow. I run mine on Hi at nite so only the compressor cycles with temp and the fan keeps running. Other talk of this method causing freeze up, no issues my past trailer did not even have an auto function, blower ran all the time.

As stated, point vents forward and we run fan continuously on low. No trouble keeping cool. Upon setup, I open air recirculating vent on ac to get quick cool down when it's really hot outside. Then close it to use ducts. Never had trouble cooling or heating this unit.

Ok. As I don't have the camper yet I can't take a look, but how do you adjust the air recirculation vent?

On face of white a/c intake where cold air blows out there is a slide. Open for quick cool and closed to force cold air through ducts in ceiling. Our 25rr had same setup. Both were Limited models. Not sure if that makes a difference.

You can tell the difference by the noise! It is very noisy when blowing air straight out of this vent and much quieter when blowing air through the other vents. [emoji52]
I installed an automatic Maxxair 0007000K MaxxFan in the bathroom and set it so it exhausts air after a certain temperature is reached in the trailer. I can leave the trailer all day and it does it's thing while I'm away making the temperature a little more palatable on hot days. I leave the 2 air vents partway open also except if I think rain is coming when I close them up or nearly so. At night the Maxxair is a fairly quiet fan when set on 20% and this plus having the bedroom window open a couple of inches with the handle jammed by a half clothes peg keeps the rig somewhat cooler and at least enables some airflow.
Trial and error will find what works for you.

I did a modification of the bathroom vent and closed most of it off pushing more air into bedroom since I did that it is more regulated front to back. Did same with heat also. The mod is on the thread pimp my 26rr.

Just a suggestion - why not Velcro something to the front of the outlet to give flexibility and even to be able to remove it for bath time.

When bath time the fan is on and will draw air from back of the trailer. Two holes is plenty of air for the ten or less square feet of the bathroom you don't need that much vent. I use to work with my dad working on hvac and there is no need for that big a vent for that small an area. The vent should be proportionate for size of room and how far the vent is down the trunk.

You could go out and buy a dampening vent but this was the cheap way of fixing issue. My brother has dampening vents on his trailer but he is a SOB
