Maybe by a couple of inches. I would have to look at dimensions again to be sure

The dimension of walmart one is 60" long 74 inches wide and 10 " high. Don't remember what old one was it went right into the garbage.

We replaced our mattress at the Goshen Rally in August with the Denver mattress. We had previously bought a piece of dense foam from an industrial foam company (not a craft store) that was 7" x 7" x 60". We pull the mattress down and slide the foam piece between the headboard and mattress. This elongates the sleeping area. Pillows go on top of the foam piece. At first the wife removed the foam during the daytime for walk-a-round room, but now she just leaves it in place and still have enough room to get around the bed.

I hated the stock mattress too, still do not understand why they do that! And why the short queen? I think they could move everything back 6" to accommodate a full size queen mattress. I bought a spa sensations 10" memory foam full queen from walmart.com. I love the mattress so much I bought another one for the house! Yes it is longer than the original mattress. With being a foam mattress not box spring, it has lots of give on the end. So, walking around is not that big a deal, I think it is better to have a longer mattress, my feet where hanging off the end on the shorter one, than have room to walk around. Face the wall, it is easier to walk around. I think as long as you go with a foam mattress you will be fine, no matter what brand.

Memory Foam Topper

Just added a 3" memory foam topper that is full size queen onto a short queen mattress with a nice padded sheet on top of that. The fitted shhet went over real good so far and the way the topper folds over on the end seems to almost add an extra couple inches. Feels and looks good right now. If it doesn't Wark then I will cut the end off and re-evaluate.

I just bought a new Heritage Glen 29BH and didn't even so much as sit on the mattress before I went to American Furniture Warehouse next door to the RV dealer and bought an 11" memory foam mattress. It's the same as the on in my house and I love it. It was $415 out the door, but I was able to sell the original mattress for $100 to offset the cost a little.
