26RR Ramp extension

Extended my loading ramp by 24" as Valkyrie was to close to bottoming out loading. Modeled after one on my WP22.
1 2' x 4' x 3/4" Plywood
3 Heavy duty hinges
12 metal screws
1 can black paint
2 2 1/2 inch rubber bumpers
2 3" x 1/4 lag bolts

Only tricky part is choosing hinges that leave a 3/8 " gap so extension can angle down

Bike Tie Down

Got the bike properly positioned finally. First try I had to much weight on tongue I felt. 1250 lb of 6990 lb was to much. Moved chock back 18" to 135 " from gate to front of HF chock. This should move some weight back and allow me to carry some weight in the waste tanks forward without getting nose heavy.
Gate extension worked good and chock position allows getting bike on the flat before front wheel enters chock.
I know getting TT tail heavy will cause it to sway but what will getting it to nose heavy cause besides the obvious exceeding CCC of TV??

How did you mount chock to floor?

Medium duty tie down @ 135". There is a 2x3 stud running lengthwise down center. Used a studfinder to find it then a 3" hole saw.

No but it is just a HF chock with a bolt welded to go through the tie down.

Ok. Thanks. I guess I'm not sure which tie down to get and what style.

I used the medium duty. Just like the 6 already installed. There are different ways to hook the chock to it. I welded a bolt sticking out the front that fits through the tie down with a couple big washers and a nut

Here is picture of my HF set up. Drilled holes in back and bolted on d rings to hook tie downs to. Cables on front so easy to have it in same location each time. This never moved when transporting bike and hides away nicely.

Where did you get the longer rubber supports? Are they really needed? Could I in theory just add a paver block under the existing supports? Also where did you get the hinges? I'm hoping to copy your idea this week

Most times I just used the rubber supports. Finally found them on the internet. Where the back was down hill I used the plastic "Leggo's". Had them anyhow for leveling. Got the hinges at Ace hardware just squar good sturdy hinges.

It's two adjustable step levelers and a wheelchair/scooter ramp.

It's built as sturdy as the door is. It is only 3 ft long (should have bought 4 ft). My bike is 8 ft. Long so only half of the bike weight is on it at a time. My bike is 670lbs and I'm 240lb. Have no issues. It's stronger then me using 3/4 inch plywood as an extension.

Thought about using something like this. They claim to sit 9 1/4" off the ground. Just prop the door up to where I can butt these right up to it and be level and just drive up on it.

Those suckers have a lot of weight and then they have that well that the tire will sink into.

I feel good about my set up. But that's me everyone has their comfort level. My wife is not as comfortable as I am and leaves when I load and unload bike. Even with just the door. If the park has some small hills I will park at bottom and just use door.
