27RR Winterizing

I am getting ready to winterized my 27RR for the first time. I will be pumping antifreeze into the lines.

Can I disconnect the city water connection from the inside and drop that line in my antifreeze jugs to pump it into the lines?

Also, anyone know where the shut off valve to my fresh tank is so that I can bypass that with the antifreeze?

That won't work your city water is on the discharge side of your pump, go to your pump and look for valves.

You may have to buy a winterizing kit and install it on the input side of the water pump. I put one on mine but haven't used it yet. It has a valve to make the pump draw from the jug rather than from the tank.

There is no shut off valve for your fresh water tank. It is on the inlet side of your pump.

My Wolf Pack didn't come with a winterizing hose. I added one this weekend. Using a t and 2 valves it was really easy. 1 valve to shut off the flow from the fresh water tank, and another to turn on\off the anti freeze hose.

This is what you need if your rig did not come with it.

Has anyone just blown out the lines in these or do y'all go the anti freeze route?

Hi,
It all depends on where you live or camp during the winter. If you expect freezing temps for weeks on end, you should blow and use antifreeze. If you expect just a few hours a night with freezing temps, just blowing the lines should be fine.
I am sure others will have many different opinions, but the above is mine.

I use air. I lived in Indiana where it got down to 10 or 15 below zero. Used air there for 10 years and never had a problem. Just make sure all the water is blown out of each faucet. I only put anti-freeze in toilet, sinks and shower.

Hopefully you have just a tad more space then in the 26rr! I mean really a couple bucks a unit to have a 3 way valve pre installed.

No one has ever proven to me how to know that for 100% positive so I always add antifreeze after blowing out. It only takes one drop.

YMMV

How do you get the water out of the suction side of the pump? Or the line going down to the FW tank? I'm assuming your blowing thru CW connection.
