AC acted up again

So, I'm 10 days away from a month long trip and I've been monitoring my AC Temps in my driveway for the last month since my last trip when it acted up on me and iced over repeatedly. Everything was OK for the last few weeks, blowing 56 degrees, keeping camper at 74 at max. Then a couple days ago it just decides when it wants to blow child or blow 80 degree air, or sometimes it will blow at 72 degrees at the duct but no where near 56 like it was. I called dometic and they said to take it to a dealer which are all of course busy with the holiday weekend coming up. I am just going to bite the bullet and upgrade to a 15k dometic and replace the 13.5k that's on there now. I figured I'd get a brand new unit with a new 2 year warranty and be a bigger unit as well. I have a mobile repair company coming to install it on Monday. Wish me luck and a cool month summer trip!

Well if you had problems with the 13.5 what makes you thing that the domectic 15 is better. To many folks have had issues with both. I have the Colman and is one of the better units as far as I'm concerned. Later RJ

I wouldn't have minded switching brands except they are compatible as far as housings and wiring and thermostats...gets much more costly. The rv repair guy told me he sees way more 13.5 units fail than the 15ks. I guess I'm rolling the dice and don't have a whole lot of choice as I am in a time crunch.
