Break a way Battery Check?

On a maintenance schedule I just saw there was a part where it said to check the Break-A- Way Battery & switch? So if the break a way switch is working properly & the trailer battery is charged enough, if I pull the pin or whatever you call out of the break a way switch and try to move the trailer with my TV the trailer brakes should drag or lock up the wheels? I'm new at this so here's another question for you: Do both front & rear axles have brakes on both axles? I didn't ask my salesman and he didn't mention it. Thanks, it's a 2019 Cherokee 22RR Toy Hauler By the way!

Yes in most all cases if there are tandem axles then there are brakes on both front and rear wheels. Do not leave the pin pulled for an extended length of time.
