Cherokee Grey Wolf 26RR Fresh water capacity questions.

I have a 2017 Cherokee Grew Wolf 26RR that states it has a fresh water capacity of 46 gallons. I always seemed to run out of water earlier than expected. I recently purchased a flow meter and when filling the tank this spring at about 38 gallons, water comes out of the overflow on top of the tank.

My question is do they include the water heater at 6 gallons and the capacity of the lines full in the 46 gallon claim?

I'm guessing I'm not the only one out there with this question, just hoping for someone that can give some info on this.

welcome to the forum its a great place to get your questions answered.
It may be that you have a 46 gal tank, but that does not mean it will fill to that level. I don't think the water heater is included in tank capacity as listed. Check where the overflow is actually located on the tank may not be on the very top but on the side which would account for the difference. JMHO

Very frustrating for sure. Lots of tips and tricks to save water.

Always turn on pump an fill water heater and lines while filling.

"Military showers"

turn pump off for # 1 and just step on pedal.

I shower at the bath house and leave the water for my girlfriend.

paper plates to save dishes.

low flow oyxegenics (forgive the spelling) shower head

Prob lots others I cant think of.

Yes, the 6 gallons in the WH, is part of the 46 gallons.
So you have around 40 gallons in the tank.

The way they have the vent hose on the 26rr, if you do not have a valve on it, gravity will siphon some out by the time you get to your campsite because it will slosh around and the end of hose hangs lower than tank by the tires.

Small piece of gorilla tape over vent hole stops water from coming out! Then you arrive with a full tank. Even using a little water during trip is OK.

I had a 26rr and the vent for the water tank was not hook up to anything, from the factory. I ordered and am waiting on a 27rr.

You may find out that the 27rr is the same. Some day I'm going to fish a hose up to where it belongs.
