Drawer lock install

On my 19RR I had a drawer come flying open and it broke the sliding track. Luckly that is all that got damaged. So I decided to install a couple of turn type locks I had hanging around.

They won't open underway now!

As you can see, these were too short and the drawer front had to be heavily modified. Would have been a whole bunch easier with a lock with a 1 1/2" depth. But ya gotta use what ya gots sometimes!

Why didn't you just those child proof cabinet and drawer locks?
Wouldn't it have been less work?

Just wondering.
