Golf Cart in 17RP

I have a 2016 Wolf Pup 17RP, and am thinking about buying a golf cart. Currently, I have a bar stool racer that is great for transportation around the larger R/C airplane events I attend, but it isn't suitable (or even accepted) for campgrounds, plus there's no seating for DW and DS.

I don't have any friends close by with a golf cart to try, so I am hoping someone here can tell me if a golf cart will fit in the garage area of a 17RP.

Thanks!

They are generally around 4 feet (1.2 m) wide × 8 feet (2.4 m) long × 6 feet (1.8 m) high and weigh 900 pounds (410 kg) to 1,000 pounds (450 kg). Most are powered by 4-stroke engines. The price of a golf cart can range anywhere from under US$1,000 to well over US$20,000 per cart, depending on several factors.

I have the same camper (2018 model) and have wondered the same thing. your camper will be able to handle the weight, no problem there. you may have to load backwards. also, be mindful of where your fresh, grey, and black tanks are. on mine, fresh is behind the rear axle and grey and black are at the front. I think you are ok for width, but height may be an issue if the one you want has a roof and length will certainly be a factor.

Weight isn't an issue, I'm sure of that. I have plenty of CCC according to the scales.

Fresh water is behind the axle, but I don't travel with any in it, so that's not a problem. Grey is directly in front of the axle, and the black is the furthest forward. Again, not traveling with anything in the tanks solves any additional weight issues.

Length in the garage is what I am wondering about. Width shouldn't be a problem, height..well..possibly. I have no desire to have a lifted cart, just a basic plane jane unit will serve my needs just fine.

I suspect that any rear "foot platform" would need to be removed for transit, but that's a minor inconvenience I am willing to deal with.

Thanks for the replies so far

If you get a golf cart keep in mind many campgrounds do NOT allow gas carts only electric.

If you are close to Winston Salem I highly recommend Brad's Golf Carts in Belews Creek. https://bradsgolfcars.com/

Club Cars are Aluminium framed so will not rust out like EZ Gos

Electric is my preference. I have enough gas toys (and the associated maintenance).

I am just outside of Winston, to the west, and Brad's comes highly recommended!

Also the 2014 and later electric Club Cars have a superior charging system for the batteries (ERIC charger) and a watering system that makes it easier to keep the batteries full

Another thought

My garage is pretty full so I am looking at mini carts, take a look at Kangacruz, lots of choice, some small enough to load into SUV!

I have an 181RT and have been looking for a golf cart that will fit. My measurements indicated I could accomodate 91" x 46". The Yamaha Drive was the only one I could find that fits that space (it's 91" x 44"). Taking delivery on the cart next week so hoping my measurements were good. Will have to take the back seats off for transport.

I'm thinking of carrying a golf cart in my truck bed - probably will have to drop the tailgate, has anyone turned their power jack sideways ??

i have an 18 17RP. the main reason we bought it was that our golf cart would fit. the dealer let us bring it up and test before we bought it. it is a 81 yamaha g1 gas. no lift or top and its 4ft x 8ft. fits good, a bit tight ( under 3 inch per side) between the wheel well and the fridge. about 8 inches to the sink/stove counter. havent looked to see ho much room between the back door though. we pack everythink up front and pull the cart in forward havent had any problems that way. we did pull 1 time with the fresh water full and again no problems. hope this helps anyone that had questions. will be loading everything up july 2nd for a trip if i remember i can take pics if anyone wants.

I for one would be very interested in seeing how it fits in there!

I would like to see as well. Between camping trips and work, I haven't had a chance to trail fit any carts in mine.

Tight, but do-able! Thanks for the pics. Looks like you still have a bit of room behind the cart as well.

So, originally I had asked about fitting a cart in my camper, and had said I wanted a bone stock cart, nothing fancy, no lift ..well, fast forward a bit and I got a cart.

(Pictures attached)

It's a bit more than I was shopping for, but I fell in love with the lines and the overall look, and it was well within my budget.

It fits in the camper, without the top and the foot rest, but I already had expected that, and I have a plan to address those issues.
Best part is, I can almost bet I will have the only one like it in any campground I go to!!

Very Cool Cart!

I know the feeling when you start looking at them. I wanted something pretty basic also. Folding back seat/platform and electric. I found a local guy that buys 3 year old carts from golf courses, tests them all, sells the ones that seem the most used and takes the ones that ride the best and then lets you decide what to add or change. Puts new bodies, new seats, windshields, roofs on them and sells them for between 4k-5k. I had him add new rims, tires and batteries to mine and got out for high 5k range for a 2014 and almost everything besides the frame and steering wheel brand new. But it will last me the rest of my life and rides like a charm compared to everything else I test drove. Plus I love the automatic braking when you lift off the gas. Coast to a stop and the brake sets about 2 seconds after you stop so no forgetting to set it as you watch it roll down a hill towards a lake or pond, lol.
