heater & air conditioner come on same time

On the Dometic furnace/fan/air conditioner control, heater works fine on 12V, but when on 110V (from generator) both furnace and air conditioner come on at the same time. Had to switch off circuit breaker on A/C to stop it, but that doesn't solve the problem. Any ideas?

Check the setting on your thermostat. Put it on Fan, and then make sure it is in Auto. That should solve the problem when you turn on the heat. I did the same thing earlier this year, and thankfully someone here was able to tell me to check to make sure the fan was in auto. When I checked, sure enough it was on Hi. Switched it back to auto, problem solved.

Fan can be in hi or low setting regardless but the on/auto switch defiantly needs to be "auto"
