Sockman, Quad411 is new. He may have lurked here for a while or he may not have. I think you comment was uncalled for and can only serve to make a sensitive situation worse.
Lighten up, Francis. It was a joke, hence the emoticon. Making light of the situation tends to ease the confrontation.

And in case you're not keeping score, I'm one of the few people on this thread that helped answer his question.

Quad411, your question is asked all the time and many who ask it, don't know what could happen by doing what you want to do.
that's why the questions are asked, to get more info to better answer you.
such as, doing a mod like what you're asking about, may void your frame warranty. many frame manufacturers will void the warranty if you do modifications to it, especially those with ultra-lite frames.

if you take an attitude from the get-go, you won't get much help.

Lou, I got here later than you, but have read the whole thread. Quad411, original post anyone ever put a hitch on...... Answer, As i have been an RV tech for a few years, I have never seen a ready made hitch for a travel trailer. As for the answer on triple tow, the question on adding a hitch to trailer gets asked here often. Quad411, you have only a few post, so we only assume you are new here, and to the world of towing, as many that come here with questions in their first post are new to towing. Some folks don't know the law, so f100turbo was only trying to point out something, that many don't know. As to your snap back, well, lighten up please. Get used to the place before you start giving it a bad name.

On a forum like this, when a question is asked, you get one of three things, THOUGHTS, 9if it were me), OPINION, and EXPERIENCE. The one thing we don't want anyone to get is ATTITUDE. SO to all that read this, if you don't like the answer, move on. If you have DATA to prove the answer wrong, then present it. If not, move on please. Name calling on a keyboard across a forum does nothing for anyone else.

I don't mean to offend anyone, just getting tired of grown people calling each other names on a forum when they are 100's of miles apart in real life. I'll say what I used to say to my teenage daughter, and then shut up

GET OVER IT!!!!!

I mainly want to put the hitch on there so I can mount my receiver hitch to put firewood in, so the wood isnt inside my trailer. Maybe once in a blue moon, I would put my 8x10 trailer behind it, with a quad. When I was looking at travel trailers to begin with, I was going to buy a 29' Octane from a dealership in MO, but they wouldnt come down on the price. That particular dealer said they would install a reese hitch on the back if I purchased it. I am from IL, and I found what I thought was a great deal on the 27' wolf pack, but when I took it to my local dealer, they said they couldnt do it. The trailer is a 2008, so the 5 year warranty is almost up anyway, so that doesnt concern me. I have been pulling trailers for 15 years, so experience isnt a issue, and yes I have hauled triples before. I was told in the state of IL, triples where allowed, as long as it was under 65'.

Good info f1100turbo. I was wondering when I read a sentence by quad411 in post #16, "I was told in the state of IL, triples where allowed, as long as it was under 65'."

Now can you tell us where you got that info?

Kind of reminds me of the the detective show Dragnet, when Joe Friday would state, "The facts ma'am (or sir), just the facts"

It's called triple towing, and like a lot of things, maybe not correct. May come from the fact that you have three vehicles with license plates under your control, tow vehicle, trailer one, and trailer two. In the trucking industry the term is "wiggle wagon", or wait, maybe that was on the CB radio. Maybe it derived from a triple tow rig, meaning 3 vehicles. Sorry, I didn't invent it, just got to go with the flow sometimes.
