Just picked up a 21RR
Hi folks, glad to be here. My wife and I just picked up our 2012 21RR. I know this is a new model for Grey Wolf. It's just a 19RR with 2 more feet added.
I like to play with golf carts, make them faster, and generally more interesting.
I am the current director of the IGKRA, (International Golf Kart Recreation Association)(igkra.com)
We needed something that would let us carry a golf cart around the country for shows, trail rides, drag races, etc.
The 19RR was the choice, and when the 21RR was released, we jumped on that.
Looking forward to learning some tips and tricks from uall.

Newbie here..husband and I are looking at the 21RR for our family.
Question...we have a 2006 Toy Sequoia. The Manual says it has a towing capacity of 6300 Lbs. Any input on whether or not the Sequoia would pull the 21RR?
Thank you!

since it's new for this year, FR's website doesn't have the specs on it, yet, so you'd have to go find one or see if someone hear could post the specs.

Maybe the orginial poster could post a picture of the yellow sticker. Keep in mind that the dry weight is only useful in quickly ruling out too heavy of trailers immediately. Look at the GVWR number instead of dry weight.

It looks like it would be ok. Although you need to remember that the water tank holds 50 gallons at a weight of 400 lbs. so before you even start loading the trailer, you are already at 5000 lbs.
Have you looked at the 19RR? It's about 500 lbs less.

isn't there a actual factory UVW sticker inside the trailer?
usually it's on the inside of a cabinet door. mine is on one of the doors under the sink.
usually states weight with options but not water and propane.

My trailer didn't have one either. I looked several times and didn't come across one. I'm being to think this is a thing of the past.
But on another note - I think I saw something in the door frame but my trailer is off site so I can't check.

I recommend having someone run the numbers for you and get more feedback. I'm wondering if that unit would be pushing it a tad since you live in California which isn't flat land.
There are lots of people here with the knowledge to answer your question but I have to say that I'm not one of them. I am only speaking from bits & pieces of feedback from another board.

Thank you, all for the input. I was thinking it would be pushing it a bit, and we certainly don't want to ruin our transmission. Maybe we need to look at a lighter pop-up toy hauler instead - any ideas on places with great prices?

not knowing where you live, makes recommendations difficult.
also, not knowing engine size and rear end ratio on the Sequoia, also makes it hard to determine your actual tow capacity.
if it's a v-8, you shouldn't have to settle for a popup.

We reside in Colorado, but are willing to drive for a good deal. The Sequoia is a 4.7 L V-8, 373 Rear end ratio.

well, with a "dry" weight of 4439lbs., not sure if that's a true UVW. meaning including weights of "options", which are the a/c, oven, spare tire, awning, water filter, battery and so on.
the 21RR has a huge CCC of 3216lbs.
unless you have a light toy to load in it, it could weigh close to your tow max of the Sequoia, when loaded for camping. which won't be good pulling in Colorado.
RVDirect has great prices and some Colorado residents have driven to Des Moines to pick theirs up from them.
they sell Jayco and FR products.

Re: CAM7892
Oops!
Now that I have my computer glasses on I can see that I missread your information (state & auto). I was thinking of the Toyota models that I was looking at but ruled out for my trailer.
Sorry,
T.

Any chance you could post a picture of your UVW so that us newbies can get an idea what it should look like?
