Today I had a few minutes to kill so I installed LED lights in the closets

I bought self adhesive LED light strips from some nondescript company on Ebay. But I see these "light strips" everywhere so they shouldn't be hard to buy.

The light simply runs from top to bottom of the closet, through small holes drilled in the shelves.

A small "normally open" push button switch turns the light on when the door is opened

The light they throw is perfect for these closets.

No Light...

Light on...

I find the easiest way to "grab" power for these modifications is from a ceiling fixture. I use white plastic, self adhesive cable cover available at Lowes / Home Depot.

I could have pulled out the refrigerator and found 12V power there, but I was lazy....

Yeah I usually pull through ceiling if I can with a wire snake.

Yup, but in this case there is structure in the ceiling that I didn't want to mess with. I have an inspection camera that I use in my gunsmithing to look down the bore of a barrel that I used to see if I had a clear shot to the top of the closet...no joy. A ceiling beam is in the way.
