once the bike(H-D ultra classic) is in my Cherokee grey wolf 26rr. Is it okay safely, to unhitch my tow vehicle ?? The bike sits over the axels within 3 feet of entrance door. I'm thinking it is well balanced, and shouldn't be a problem, just want to check with my fellow grey wolf owners to see if or they have done so without any mishaps. Thanks.

I have driven my 1300 VTX into my Grey Wolf unhitched. There is enough weight on the tongue that it does not move when I put it in. Power jack is down, stabilizers down, chocks are in place. Some may feel uncomfortable with it but I load and unload many time with trailer not hitched.

If I was afraid of the camper moving/nose raising if not hitched then me and wife would not be able to be in it not hitched. We weigh 2/3 of what the bike weighs.

It is not like putting on my bike trailer where there is no weight on the front and only one axle. That one is a teter totter.

Just my opinion. Loaded you have a tongue weight of around 1000lbs without the bike in it.

Going on my 3rd season with it.

If it's a toyhauler it is balanced to be able to load unhitched. We load our Polaris RZR before we hitch, without the stablizers down too. It weighs over 1400 lbs. We also load our Goldwing the same way, it only weigh 1000#. Never had a problem.
Ours is a Shockwave if there is that much difference in the two.

Not a problem. I load and unload my Fatboy unhitched without issue. Also have a 26rr.

I think with the rear stabilizers down it shouldn't be an issue.

I had a 21RR and had no issues. Even stored my Electra Glide in it over the winters.
