I just got back home after traveling 831 miles just to purchase my new toy hauler. We live in central Alabama and drove to Davenport Iowa to make this purchase. Can't say enough good things about those folks at Cheyenne Camping Center. We arrived at their place at 8:30AM and we were out of there after an extensive PDI at 11:30. That included the installation of several extras that I decided on at the last minute.
On the way home I noticed that the front of my truck (2004 F-250 6.0 Diesel) was hopping up and down alot. We pulled over at a nice open truck stop so I could see what was going on and stepped back to examine the rig's setup. I noticed that the nose was carrying a little high so I jacked up the tongue and grabbed another link. This really settled her down. I am looking forward to many miles of fun.
Somewhere in these forums I remember seeing that 5 lugs meant one axle weight and six meant another but I can't seem to find it. Any clues? I am a first time travel trailer owner.
Sorry Bama, not a real expert on towing set-ups so can't offer much help. Perhaps if you give a bit of detail on your package - Reese, draw-tite, whatever. Someone should be able to answer that.
