New Guy needs advice

Call ahead and make sure the trailer has a winterizing system. If not, have them install one before you go to pick it up. Pick up a couple of gallons of antifreeze, you will need it where you live. Also make sure you have some wheel chocks.
Other things to look for: a package with the manuals for everything, also things like awning rods and jack handles.

I bought mine from Kyle and Earl at the oupost too, sight unseen, and had it shipped to my house over 1000 miles away. Been a few weeks and I still haven't tested every single thing on the camper, though I'll try to spend some more time with it this weekend. I had them file the warranty paperwork, and if I find any issues I'll take it in for repair at my local dealer.

And just to clarify, I'm not recommending that people do what I did, but if you do any of the suggestions provided here, you're doing way more than I did. I'm just giving an example of the least amount you could do is sign the paperwork saying it was delivered to you, and hope the rest is covered under warranty
