Call ahead and make sure the trailer has a winterizing system. If not, have them install one before you go to pick it up. Pick up a couple of gallons of antifreeze, you will need it where you live. Also make sure you have some wheel chocks.
Other things to look for: a package with the manuals for everything, also things like awning rods and jack handles.
