New Wolf Pack 24pack14+ owner

I have been reading posts for quite some time now, but haven't seen any other owners of this model , nor the question I have. Can Forest River provide a "build invoice" or list of all the specific components for a particular trailer with model numbers? I have a stack of manuals that I believe is incomplete and was given no printed owners manual (overview) for the whole trailer. My little Four Wheel Camper came with a nice manual that detailed things like winterization maintenance and such...

Nearly all RV manufacturers only provide a generic owners manual with No model-specific or brand-specific information.
You should have separate manuals from other manufacturers, for the important stuff, like oven, a/c, converter, furnace, water pump, fridge and so on.

I think you likely got what almost everyone gets. That is, whatever manuals come for the components in your RV. I take them all, put them in protective sleeves and put them in a 2" binder that I put in the camper. I can't tell you how often it has come in handy over the years I've had a camper. It's saved me with problems with furnaces, radio's, AC units, Water pumps, Converter's just to name a few. The camper I traded in on my 2 month old one had it in the cabinet and the sales guy was very happy to be able to have them for the new owner when they sell it.

Anything your missing manual wise, if you can get the manufacture and model number, generally can be downloaded from the internet now. I have a few that I've saved on my phone and I also printed to stick in the binder.

The winterization, un-winterizing, sanitizing your water tank, all those kinds of things, you can ask here and then copy and print the answer that you understand the best and put in the manual. If your into electronics and Youtube, there are a ton of videos that you can watch to show you how to do about anything. Again, when you find one that you like, save it to a folder in your youtube account.

Hope this helps. It's a shame the difference between a vehicles owners manual and a RV's but it seems what you have is the industry standard and what you got previously was a rarity.

Good Luck!

Ask the dealer. They are supplied with the Build list with the unit.

All good suggestions...thanks. I have another issue with the dealer that I'm hoping to get some satisfaction with. Included in my purchase was a Husky WDH, round bar type with an anti-sway bar. The spring bars are clearly marked 800-1200#. By direct measurement with a tongue weight scale, my TW loaded with camping gear, but nothing in the garage and no fluids is over 1300#. Some will say that putting motorcycles in the back will lighten the TW, but this toyhauler is only 31 feet and motorcycles will ride over the axles and adding fresh water will only increase TW. Husky makes spring bars rated for 1000-1400#. I think they should provide those to me no extra charge.

We bought one in June this year. Sounds like you got the same manuals I got with mine. The dealer had a plastic folder with the different manuals for the appliances and a few other components. There doesn't seem to be one comprehensive manual like with a car, truck or motorcycle...or pretty much anything else I have ever purchased that is mechanized. I have found this forum and Youtube to be quite valuable.

Dropped off the TH at the dealer service shop yesterday. Quizzed the young man about how he was going to perform the winterization and felt confident in his procedure ($108), then asked for TV audio to be fixed (not functioning since we took delivery a few weeks ago), and to trade me new 1000-1400# spring bars for the lighter ones we received. After I upgrade my air compressor, I will be able to do the winterizing myself and contemporaneously when we need it. Really appreciate all the advice and knowledge on this forum. Thanks guys and gals!

Dealer (salesman) stonewalled me on getting me the proper spring bars. He argued with me (via text messages) that the published tongue weight was 1000#, yada, yada. I got pissed off and told him screw it I'll buy them myself. Amazing that they were willing to lose a continued customer over $111 bucks. Oh well... Gotta love Amazon even though they are evil...free shipping with Prime for those heavy bad boys to my door in about three days.

Follow up...new heavier spring bars working well. If you take delivery on a new unit that includes a Husky WDH, I encourage you to not listen to the average RV salesman and get the heavy bars. They seem to have a mindset that the dry weight numbers actually mean something. Our TH has a published "tongue weight" of about 1000#. That number apparently doesn't include propane tanks, batteries, the generator, or any fluids. With about 100# of stuff in the storage area my tongue weight measured over 1300# with no fluids. Add a couple of motorcycles, some water, and you can see where this is going. Especially with our smaller 31' long TH, almost all the cargo weight will be at or forward of the axles unlike a longer unit where some of the garage can be loaded aft of the axles to act as leverage.

More details about how my WDH is functioning...
The front axle/wheel well measurement is within 1/4-1/2" hitched vs. unhitched, so I am good there, but the rear squats 1 3/4 - 2". Is that pretty normal or do I need to think about air bags? I am planning on a trip to the CAT scales to get hard numbers on axle weights before next camping season.

I'd say that's pretty normal but the weights are the real determining factor and key to properly handling. I pulled my old TT a couple times short distances without my WB bars. 4 miles to the dealer to dump the tanks after skipping the 20 camper line in the local state park on Sunday at checkout time. The second time it felt like a boat driving at slow speeds in it's own wake. Steering was delayed, fell like it didn't have any reaction to steering input. Scared me to death and it was only 4 miles and about 4 turns, lol. Figured out that I was way to close to my limits and was likely over on my back axle without the WB bars putting some back on the front. Never tried that again unless it was just to reposition in the driveway.
