Question. We stayed at a campsite that had full hook up. My "stock" sewer line that came with camper wasn't long enough. So I want to buy an extension. Is there anything specific I should buy and is there a way to add another storage tube under the TH so I don't have to store this in my storage space?

The CG host laughed at my stock sewer line when he saw it.

I too would be interested in a high quality one with everything I need.

This is what I am considering now

I went with the Rhino Flex hose. It's worth every penny when it comes time to dump
Keep in mind it will not fit in the hose holder you got with the trailer.
I made a new holder,
Forest River Forums - essness's Album: Mods

I have since bought a new trailer and it will not fit. So, if anyone is interested in the sewer hose assembly ready to bolt on to a 19, 21, 25 RR id sell it for the 25.00 I've got in it. But you would have to pick it up.

The thing is it will fit !!!! You just need to grind lugs down a little bit . And it will fit
Perfect . And still plenty of lug left to be able to twist to make connection .
Also I needed to trim hose about 3" to make the length fit also .
Thanks

Check out page 8 and 12 of this thread for sewer hose storage examples.

My antenna doesn't work worth a crap either. We just gave up on it. Maybe I'll tear mine apart sometime and see if I have the same issue. It only works if the park is broadcasting a repeater signal or if we are parked very close to the antenna. Otherwise it's like satellite tv in a heavy rain storm.

Have you activated the signal booster? It is a small pin button next to the cable to tv a light will come on. When the booster is not activated my antenna won't work either.

Yes I have played with that and it helps some but there are times when other campers have had a wonderful signal and we get nothing. Either that antenna is crap or something isn't tight up in there (which I never thought of until reading the forum here). If I'm hooked up to cable we have to turn the booster off or else the cable won't work at all.

I would pull all the ends off and re do them. I had the same issue with my 21RR. I put new connectors on all the cable ends and it fixed the problem.
You are correct to turn it off for cable.

We just got home from the 2013 Goshen FROG Rally. We were having a problem with the antenna in our 21RR also. Antenna would work on a TV in the living area but not in the bed area or outside. A FR tech came and took the antenna box down over the TV in the living area and one wire was not attached at all and another was really loose. He hooked the wires up correctly and now the TV works well (and finds stations) in all three areas . He said when we are connected to cable TV in a campground to make sure the antenna booster button is OFF. Hope this helps!

That sounds promising. I'll try and do that this weekend. Do I have to pull the antenna off from the roof to get at the coax or can I get to it from the inside. I know I can unscrew the plate on the inside.

Just the plate Toby. While you're at it, I'd pull the other plates and check them as well. Like I said, I replaced all of mine including the park cable in put on the outside. Made a big difference for mine.

Well that's why I was asking about the antenna because nothing works on this thing worth a darn. I'll just see what I can do on Saturday with it.

Well I took apart the box in the bed room and that connector would just spin on the coax so I replaced it with a new compression fitting and tightened it down. In the back that box was very busy and not a lot of slack but I did notice that none of the connectors were tight so I tightened them all down, put it back together and already the signal seems much better. I'll try it this way for a few trips and see shat happens. Thanks for the tip.

Recent Mods

Hey am I allowed to post 3 times in a row in the same thread? Well I'm gonna. I just finished own of my mods to the trailer and thought I'd share. Besides the ramp door modification I also added some much needed light to the canopy outside. I picked up a light kit for $37 and I think it works pretty well.

To install, I dismantled the outside porch light and drilled a hole all the way though. Then on the inside I used a low voltage plug with a filler plug in it and drilled a hole just small enough for the two cords to go through. Then the filler plug fell into the wall and so I made another one (glad I had a 5 pack). The second wire is a remote control sensor that sits inside the amber lens. I heat shrink-ed everything together and so far it's working. I had to re-silicone everything back together (I hate working with that stuff) and put a little on the end of the strip to make sure it doesn't come off (still not sure about that).

The lights are LED and can present just about any color you can think of. It even has what I call DISCO setting (or maybe COPS is more suitable). I think it's programmable but no instructions and I haven't figured it out yet. Attempting to attach a few photos. I also have some LED lights that I'm going to use in the porch light and brake/tail lights. I don't have them put in yet but that won't be hard to knock out.

Where did you buy the lights? How about a night time video post in disco mode! I need that for my next drinks at the campfire that turns into a limbo contest!

Here is what I got for lights (This and one of These).

I also got one of these for the recycling (it's not part of it but still very important! - oh yea stole that line from FOTC).

I of the lights earlier in this post but I'm referencing this one now which is a little better. I plugged into Pandora's KC and the Sunshine Band channel for effect. I shot this early this morning (5:30 AM) and I didn't realize there was a little bit of a breeze (sorry about that). Just so you know, this was at home base. I'd never do this at the campground at 5:30 AM and admit to it.

Anyone else here use Directv while camping? If you do what do I need to do to use the cable input on the outside of tt? I currently set up my dish then run wire thru door but that is getting old.

I used Directv with my 21RR. Always ran it through the door. The part cable connector would never work for me. As I understand it, you would have to run new cable in the trailer to make it work.

Ramp extension

I had the same fear with loading a 2012 FLHRC. I designed a ramp extension and bought the aluminum at a metal supply and had it welded together. I designed the ramp to fit in the storage compartment. It is 36 in wide and the diamond plate is 24 x 36. It lifts the ramp 11 inches and takes away the steep angle. To make sure of clearance, I carry a 4 ft long x 6 in wide 1/2 in plywood. I drive the bike up into the unit with the plywood on the ramp which keeps the rear tire 1/2 in higher. No issues with bottoming out. I will post some pics of the ramp.
