In my 2010 19rr i have the small rear door. It is 50 wide and 69 long. I was thinking about raising the door about a foot and using another ramp that is49 wide and 60 long. That will give me a ramp that is about 11 ft long. Thinking about lieing down a 2 x 12 in the center of the door to decrease the hump. Realy dont want to drag. Does any one have any other ideas for loading a 07 ultra

My 2015 19rr has a 76" long door. I jack up the front of the trailer and have no problem loading my 07 ultra. A couple of weeks ago, I pulled the trailer axils in a little dip at my friend's property and that worked like a charm. Didn't have to jack the front.

How do you reduce the hump or the transition from the ramp to the trailer

By raising the front of the trailer, the back lowers, reducing the hump. You can also try putting a few 2x8 boards under the front edge of the door to give you more clearance at the hump.

Im rasing the door by a foot so my ramp will be 11 ft long. What i am concerned with is the transition from the ramp to the trailer. That is where im concerened about draging. I think there is a differance between a 2015 an a 2010 which I have

I just measured from the driveway to the top of the bumper is 26" plus another 1_1/2"up to the floor with trailer level. I ran my tape out 11 feet to check out the angle and you should have no problem getting over the hump. my door measures 6'6" from bumper to driveway when down.

I went and mesured mine also. The bumper is 3.5 inches lower than the floor. I think i will have to put a 2x12 to reduce the hump to get my ultra over it? Any thoughts?

Wow 3.5 inches is a hump. When I first started loading the bike, I'd put a 2x6x24 board in the void between door and floor .

Geometry again. How many inches does the wheel of the bike need to be raised to avoid the bike hitting the hump? Note: not how many inches does the door need to be raised at the bottom, which will be many inches more. This is the issue and I imagine when I get to try mine this week that it would be only an inch or two for the lowest bike, so that is just short plank under the wheel at that point. It could be that the front wheel may need to ride up on a small lank inside the trailer at this point also with very low bikes.
This would mean no need for elaborate extensions etc. and we all carry short planks for under our stabilizers and jacks. Give it a try with a mate to help and see what the possibilities are. You could always mark the point at which they are to be placed with a small piece of tape if you wish.
I hope it may be an easier possibility.

Wouldnt it also be the same to place a plank on the door to make the back wheel higher

Be sure to post some pictures of your trials and triumphs ( wins not the bike!) A picture says 1,000 words.

I'm thinking about when you are unloading how easy is it to keep the bike on the plank backing down.

The next time I load my bike, I'm going to take pictures of how high the front is jacked and one of the clearance on the hump.

I think the length needed will not be long and in my mind I thought of 1 or 2 planks sideways. Each of my planks is about 8" wide so it's just a matter of riding over them rather than along them.
But I'll wait until later this week when I've tried out my 8th grade geometry. 'Cause it was Australian geometry so it could be all upside down. 😉
Glad there are so many enjoying the delights of the Grey Wolf RR series. Mine got the vote of approval from 2 of my motorcycling friends who are pretty fussy and travel with a Jayco 40+ foot 5er.

Im thinking if I take 2 peices if 3/4 inc ply wood and screw them together and make them 24 wide and 3 or 4 ft long that it would be enough. May be stager them so they are like stairs and cut the end in a 45 degree

Cover for 19rr?

Does anyone know where to get a good fitting cover for the 19rr? We just purchased this trailer and will have to store it in our uncovered driveway for this coming winter. We want to weather protect it somehow. Anyone have any brands they recommend that are a good value for the price?

19RR to 22RR

Hello 19RR thread, unfortunately my 19RR was totaled with the recent hail storm in south central TX. The good news is we just purchased the new floor plan 22RR. I will still be checking this thread as most of the mods can be applied to both rigs.
