Looks good rmac ~ you'll need to sell tour tickets of your TT this next season! Everyone will want to see all those mods.

Thanks, every time I think I'm finished I think of something else. My next major mod is to make the rear bench more comfortable. I bought zig sag springs that are used in your lazyboy and couches and going to make over the base to have the characteristics of a house sofa. It will still fold up to put bike in. Then I'm going to put one more drawer under bed to hold laundry. I hate have to continually move dirty laundry out of shower when I want to take a shower.

Admission is always free!!!! You may also get coffee and dessert served.

Ron,

I love the knife holder. Would you mind sharing the details of how you built it? BTW ... I'm not a woodworker at all!

Thanks,

Johnm1 this is what I bought: Knife Safe - Camco 43583 - Space Savers - Camping World I painted it black with some plastic spray paint, mounted along side the fridge. Had one on my old camper, love it so much I bought one for the house.

Steve - I have one of those as well but it doesn't fit all of my kitchen knives. And yes, I'm a "knife snob"! I'd like to have something that I could be customized to my knives.

Thanks,

I used pieces of wood from the house. I took a piece of 1x4 and cut in halve length ways making two 1x2 pieces. Then I stripped down a piece of 2x4 I had laying around taking off rounded edge and ripping a piece about 1/8 - 1/4". I placed my set of knives on the 1x2 and spaced them out as I wanted. The I used razor knife to cut the 1/8" piece to fit between the blades of knives and marked spaces with pencil. Then took off knives then wood glued pieces on the board between pencil marks. Let dry. Then put wood glue on 1/8" pieces you put on then put other 1x2 on and clamped with 3 clamps. Let dry and then ran each side down table saw to get smooth edges. Cut ends with scroll saw. Sanded and stained.

Me too was a baker by trade in former life so I went out and bought all new knives for this project. Told my brother my kitchen in my camper is more upscale then my house. Of course my knives inside of house are 30 years old from when I was professional cook/baker. Quality lasts. My knives don't shake, move or jiggle and won't fall off or out while going down the road.

Saw another post where someone (please forgive me for not remembering the name) used an aluminum tongue box to install their battery in.
He used a regular or 'normal' battery hold down bracket, sectioned off the area around the battery specific to size and the remaining space ended up as a separate area/compartment. Not for sure if he incorporated a cut off switch, but I do remember there were a couple of air vents in the sides and drain holes in the bottom.
Seriously going to look at & measure up for that, free up space in the cargo bay.

rmac ~ how about a couple of full length pics of the inside of your 26RR? Stand with you back next to the pantry wall and snap pic of kitchen area, then move over to bath door and snap pic of the window/storage area. You've done so much, it's hard for a senior citizen to get together in my brain as just 1 picture.

Yeah I was thinking of that with the aluminum box, but the tongue weight of the 26rr is already heavy did not want to add to it.

WOW!! That's a lot of mods Brother, I think I can see why the tongue weight is heavy ~ LOL! You've done a lot there, it shows and it all looks good. Thanks for the tour.

Great work. I'm still thinking of more changes to mine. This is the place to do it as I have access to great tools and some skilled friends, so I'll have to get started.
Plus I'm dreaming of my next TV.
Hope you enjoy your 26RR as much as I do mine.

Love it. I am not even enthusiastic about the 2017 26rr. I don't think they are as nice inside. Especially In the entertainment area. I told my wife that I look at other TH and I don't like them as much as mine. We will have this one for a while. My wife is almost coming around to have this one when we retire!!!

Added some cabinets to the toy hauler area. Built a backing, screwed those into the 3 studs in the area, then attached the cabinets.

Great job mxdad, that will give you much more storage. Did you put struts and clasps on cabinets?
