Pimp my 26rr

My two doors came I'm mail today. These are going to go where the fake rock wall was. I took out middle piece and going to cut another piece and glue on some colored luan that I had left after doing under drawer mod.

Tried to order doors from FR but they wanted $75 to ship two doors that weigh less than 10 lbs. what a rip off. Would have cost me over $180 for two doors and hardware. Found same style doors on eBay for $63.95 no shipping, just had to do some stain work to get them a close match for other doors.

Doors after staining.
Now after camping this weekend it's off to Lowes to get hardware to match and install.

Forgot to tell you the light had a switch on light just like others so even if you had TV there you could just push button on light to turn just that one off.

The middle I used stock piece of luan that came from my under bed drawer mod. Liquid nailed that to a board I ripped down to fit between.

Tried to order stock doors from FR but they wanted $50-$75 for just shipping for doors less then 10lbs. Outrageous. I got some doors off eBay. The stain on them came with a light brown. I used a mix of dark walnut and kona. DW said it was good match. Just kept applying until I got it close enough. I liked the fake stone but was wasted space bothered me.

Also put Velcro on panel access under bathroom sick so easier to access without removing screws.

I have been thinking about the bal carrier for us. I'd be curious how it works out for you.

I got it to lighten my tongue weight. That tire weight about 47 lbs. so moved from under master bed to the underside of the rear.

It seems pretty sturdy I'm hoping I will not have to use it if you know what I mean.

Only complaint I had was I had to go out and buy self tapping screws because it does not come with any.

That's the right model number no cutting was required for my 26rr. Hardest part was lining it up and getting the self tapping screws (that are not included) through the frame.

Hint do a cut out of your tire and put that on it when looking for placement. Not too many choices for placement because of tanks and cross beams. I installed myself in less than an hour. Not bad. With your mechanical abilities it will be a piece of cake.

I have the BAL carrier too, installed it a couple weeks ago on my 2016 26RR. As long as you mount it to the outside of the frame you wont have to cut it down. I was able to get it just in front of the holding tanks, but with the propane line I had to mount it so it comes down on the drivers side. Which is not that big a deal...

Door stop on bathroom door
Attachment 111597

I got tired of the bathroom door not staying open, so for over a year I had a loop of rope tied to the cupboard door handle that slipped over the bathroom door handle but it was just a stopgap measure. Now I have installed a magnetic door catch at the top of the door but I used the metal of a rack I have velcroed over the top of the door instead of the catch's receiver. It seems to work well.
