There is a forum of modified ambulances on the Expedition Forums. These blokes do some great work - more than I would ever tackle. 2 of them are Aussies in the US. The ambulance becomes an RV itself. I want it to be both RV/ toyhauler and TV.

Modified the TV area this weekend. Took out the faux wall, braced appropriately then added a beefy articulating mount. I plan on adding some blue LED's behind the TV for ambiance and relocating the plug in to the left side behind everything. Now we have room for media players behind the TV and it can be moved for easier viewing. Lastly I ran a small extension cord and a HDMI cable down the right side behind the radio for future hookups in the area below.
Also found some cabinets at lowes for $70....planning on placing those on the wall in the bedroom for more storage after staining.

Is a huge tv. What size is it?? Was your entertain center already set back or did you mod the top? Some had rock wall set back some had it flush.

It's a 32" Visio D series LED TV....i could probably play around with mounting location and get a 36" in there, but I think I would lose a lot of the articulation.
Mine had the fake rock wall....took all that out and now the TV can retract flush with the cabinetry when we are not watching anything. And since I reversed the door swing, I can move it over a good deal before it catches the door.

Where are you going to put the cabinets in the bedroom?

I have a 32" in mine also but since I relocated it I guess mine does not look as big. I moved my tv to the back of trailer so I'm not looking so far at it.

I am going to place it near the ceiling on the left wall. I figure I will use some 1 bys screwed into the studs on the ends and attach the cabinet to that.

I am also going to place some cabinets in the living area in the back, across from the current cabinets, then section off the area under the bed into 4 parts for the last little bit of storage. We should be good after that for storage.

That will make it hard to get around the bed won't it? Without hiring your head?

I don't think so....it won't stick out as far as the TV and it isn't super deep. Besides, it's on the wife's side.....

I just ordered a Generator for the 26 RR Sportsman 3500I should be enough.

The real question is. Has anyone installed AC/DC amp volt watt meters in the TH? Watched a few vids already.

Let us know how well that generator works and how loud it actually runs.

I installed the unit below last year and it's worked for me so far. My use so far is to tell me when to start the generator and when to turn off kind of thing.

TV Wiring Question

I'm working on moving our TV to the back of the camper under the gear shelf (we took out that half of the dinette). I wonder if anyone can help me understand all these coax cables. I am going on the assumption the orange and gray coax are the antenna and cable coming in. The short black cable goes to a splitter with three white cables coming out, one of which goes to the bedroom, and I assume another goes to the connection outside. So where does the third go?

Thanks, GlenG

When I moved mine I switch out the three way splitter to a four so I just plugged in new coaxial into fourth port. Then I used splitters for audio video cables to run new cables.

Pimp my 26rr

Any chance it goes to the radio/sound system?
1 to bedroom, 1 outside, 1 to the connector next to this unit for the main TV.?

The main tv coaxial is built into the plug I think that's why I went to a four way splitter. I traced them back then but it's been awhile that I do not remember.

I had the fake rock wall, I was able to get a 39" TV in there, I also reversed the swing of the door to the Bathroom, did that the first week I owned it!
