Problems at the Factory

We bought our 315Pack12 last Jan. The service department at Carolina Coach in Claremont NC was helpful in the beginning, but after the 4th trip to the service department for the same problems, I was irritated. I called Forest River mid summer and spoke to Keith in the warranty department about my issues and he thought, with the long list, it should just come back to the factory. We agreed on it returning in December when we would normally have it in storage and it would only take 2 or 3 weeks.... long story short, Keith is gone... they picked my camper up between CHRISTmas and New Years and when I called Friday, they haven't even had it in the shop yet.... anybody else had experience with the factory? Good or bad?

We don't have the same model as yours. We had also felt with Keith last year they took ours to factory last year they had it for a month to fix it. We got it back a month later and out of a list of 10 things only really 1 was fixed. 2 they made worse than what it was. Now it's at a dealership getting fixed some warranty is fixing the rest is $$ out of my pocket. Just tired of arguing with them want it over with. Really hope your situation goes better.

Tim, I just got off of the phone with Shawna Benson at Cherokee. She's doing an additional follow-up and will be contacting you and copying me. I'll keep you posted as well on anything else I hear.

We bought a new 27RR last year and had some warranty issues. Our RV spent 3 months at CW where we purchased it with little getting done. I called the factory in Goshen made a appointment and took it there. Had a small hiccup when i picked it up a few days later but everything was fixed and they took good care of us and went out of there way to make things right.

A list... the hole in the side of the camper was made too small and the slide out drug, the awning wouldnt stay up, the bed frame was broken, the shower leaked, the garage floor was separated, the seal tape on the walls was peeling, the decals on the exterior were peeling, the slide had damaged the flooring in the kitchen, the exterior spray port cap was broken........ I could go on

They repaired the Antenna after CW Greenwood said there was nothing wrong with it even though it never picked up 1 channel. It now picks up 8 channels most of the time but it has always got at least 4 channels since they fixed it. Also they repaired a short in the wiring on the running lights I kept loosing the lights while traveling which the only way I noticed it was our backup camera would go out. The hiccup was the wiring had a screw partially in the power feed to the running lights and most of the time they would work when you 1st hooked up to the trailer but after you started moving the screw would short out the wire. They had it plugged into power at the factory for 8 hours and they worked fine when I picked it up I got a couple miles down the road and the lights went out again so i turned around and went back. They immediately had 3 techs come out and they dismantled every light on the outside of the RV in the parking lot and finally found the screw in the wiring insulation it had got so hot from the short it melted the insulation off the wire. they got the wiring repaired sealed all the lights up and gave me a tour of the factory which was pretty interesting. they also gave me a FROG atlas and I was going to buy an extra spare tire and they gave me the tire for my trouble. Also had a couple other small warranty issues they took care of and answered question I had about the RV that CW Greenwood could not answer.
