Question on 19RR

I am going next weekend to pick up my new 19RR. Its finally here after 9 weeks of waiting! Could anyone tell me what the height is for the coupler from the ground to the bottom of the coupler. I want to be sure to take the right ball mount with me. Thanks for the help.

First, congrats on the new 19RR. We got ours in Oct of 2011, and are anxiously awaiting spring's arrival.

Can you explain further what coupler you are needing measurements for? I'm not sure from your post what you are needing.

he wants to know what the height of the ball coupler is from the ground so he can some what get the hitch height right

Yep. Height from the ground to the bottom of the coupler. Measurement needs to be with the floor of the trailer sitting approx level. I am trying to find what kind of drop I need for the reciever hitch. Any help would be appreciated.

Nope. I have a 3/4 ton Dodge CTD. I have air bags on the back. I plan on using a sway control but no WD. I am going to see how it pulls without it first.

No- 42 is a reference to a sci-fi book that says the ultimate answer to the ultimate question of life, the universe and everything is 42.

I know my Wolf Pup trailer is 18 inches, as is my neighbour's tent trailer. So that is likely close to what you need. However I don't soubt that some trailers may be different.

I'm not sure why you believe you don't need a wd hitch.
just because its a 3/4 ton means nothing. Your still taking
That hitch weight off your front axle.
second of all a lot of peoples campers are still in storage
For the winter. Or don't store them at home.
I'm surprised no one hasn't answered but that's the way it is sometimes
Can't you call the dealer or a grey wolf dealer and have them walk
Out and measure one?

I beg to differ on the 3/4ton. It does make a difference. So do air bags. They may not add to the wieight capacity but they do make a huge difference in handling. I have had several trailers that pulled fine without the WD hitch and some that pulled like crap without a WD. I plan on pulling it a couple times without and see how it works out. If it dosen't do well I will get a WD hitch. I sold my last trailer with the WD hitch but I pulled it numerous times without it and had no problems. It was a much larger and heavier trailer than this 19RR. (5ft longer, 2ft higher and 2800lb heavier) I have pulled enough trailers over the past 30 years that I'm pretty sure I can make an educated decision.
I never thought about people having their trailers in storage. I am going to call the dealer today and get the height for the coupler. Mine is the only 19rr on the lot and it should be there today.

I called my local grey wolf dealer they did not have one on the lot sorry.
I wasn't questioning your intelligence on towing and wd

It's all good. Part of it is that I have no intention of buying a WD hitch from the dealer at an inflated price. If I do end up needing one I can get it much cheaper elsewhere. Thanks for checking for me.

Well I have tried for 2 days trying to get this measurment from the dealer. "We will call you back with the measurement." Still nothing! I hope this isn't a sign of things to come. Picking it up tomorrow.

Call back and ask to speak to the sales manager. Tell him/her that you cannot take delivery of the unit until they get you this measurement; and that you will hold while he goes to measure.

I would think that the delay in taking delivery should be enough to make somebody there take 3 minutes.
