Rr 19 powder coat frame.

In the paperwork it said to have a powder coated frame I looked under mine today and there is rust everywhere. I'll call forest river tomorrow and see what they say. I know it's not powder coat because my 2002 Indian is ... Does anyone else have rust under there's

yeah.. we have rust. I don't remember anything about being powder coated frame. But I just looked it up and YES it DOES say that. What year do you have? Maybe this was or is an "option" for certain models?

Mine is a 2012 and the frame shows rust in places. I would highly doubt they are powder coated. Definatley looks like paint in my opinion.

2012 25rr, some rust, and it looks like paint to me. If you find something out from FR let us know what they say please.

I got a hold of forest river about my 2011 Cherokee greywolf rr-19 today and they told me I need to talk to lippert " www. Lci1.com " the frame builder so I called them after waiting twenty mins on the phone I got to talk to someone they said to email so pictures which I did while on the phone because they don't have a 800 number. They said it only has a 60 day paint defect warranty and a 90 day frame defect warranty. And that they use a stage 4 powder coat. I guess that means paint. So I'm just going to buy por 15 to stop the rust then prime it and undercoat it.. But you would figure on a trailer a little over a year old they would take care of it

If they are truly powder coated they shouldn't rust unless the prep was sub par. I have seen allot of powder coating and I still say the frames are painted. If not it is a poor representation of powder coating.

Well since they won't fix it, I did I crawled under it and sprayed it with ospho which killed the rust , then I wait a couple day for it to dry , then I primed it , next I'm going to spray it with bedliner spray..

Lippert must have a high quality product to offer the long term of 60 days for paint and 90 days for frame defects. Now we know why our trailers are not lasting as long as the older models did. You get a better warranty on a $10 toaster.
