Time to buy new propane grill and/or griddle...What do you use???

It's time to buy a new propane grill and/or griddle. My grey Wolf 26rr has a quick connect for the propane. Just wondering what brand/make of grill or grill/griddle combination you people are using and why you like your particular make/brand???

Too many steaks and burgers to count but we're still using the RVQ that came with the TT. It still works well and we haven't really considered other options.

We use the 28" BlackStone 2 burner with the cast iron griddle. It is kind of bulky but does fold flat easily. We installed an extra hitch receiver on the back of our 8625RLWS 5vr. We did have to get an extension bar to extend past the spare. Then hooked on a basket tray that fits in the 2" hitch. Couple of good rachet tie downs (I use RED). Plus it gives you extra room to carry all kinds of extras. Coolers, chairs, etc.

The BlackStone is great. Be sure and follow the recommended seasoning process. There are some good YouTube videos out also. You can also remove the griddle and you have two really nice burners. We would give ours 5 stars. Good Camping.

There are a few good options but it was the Weber Q for me.

If you have a low pressure quick connect, definitely modify the grill to remove the regulator:

Just remember that the propane supply is LOW pressure and most grills are high pressure,

Unless you get something like Camp Chef or Blackstone, you'll have to do some modifications.

In the last 15 years of full timing, we had two propane grills, that hung on the side of the rig. When the last one fell apart, I bought a George Forman electric grill. Easy to use, more cooking space and supposedly heathier due to the elimination of burned grease

Coleman Roadtrip. Comes in several different configurations, but you can buy additional plates for how you cook. Needs to be converted to no regulator, but kits are available online.

I recently got a Weber 1200 and Torjik kit so it can be used from the trailer propane connection. Works really good.

If you're looking for a "portable" - Coleman Road Trip Grill. Kind of a pain to clean, but what grill isn't? (side note) I just switched the grill grates on my Char Broil 463242716 to stainless grates, so far I'm very impressed. They're a lot easier to clean, and they don't rust.

We have the Coleman Roadtrip grill(the blue one) and love it. We can move it wherever we want and take it off the stand it comes with it we want to set it on the picnic table. We don't mind the small canisters as they are much easier and quicker to replace than the 20 lb ones. We use the big ones solely for fridge.

I want a Weber Q 1200 BUT, I have every confidence it will get destroyed in the back of my truck. I looked today for several hours at Home Depot to find a plastic bin to protect it but the bin would have been way too big to put in my truck bed with the 5er hitch. (have tools, water, firewood, etc)

I was walking through Walmart this morning and saw a 22" Blackstone Griddle w/Lid and stand for $147.

It can be either table top or on the stand. It uses 1lb bottles and comes with the hose to connect to a grill-sized propane tank. Here is the big seller for me---the only thing that gets dirty on the griddle is the REMOVABLE griddle itself. This means I can get all the food/grease, etc cleaned off and store the grill in m trailer without fear of attracting vermin, ants, etc. This is something I could never do with the current propane grill.

What I am not sure about is if this thing cooks steaks well. We cook burgers and steaks the majority of the time.

Any feedback on how good steaks are on the griddle?

We have an older Road Trip. It was designed to have water in the pan below the burners "to ease clean-up". It seems to make it more of a problem carrying a try of water and finding a place to dump it before it sloshes on my shoes. I don't fill the pan, but if it rains overnight, it gets full.
Do the current Road Trip grills have the same water pan?

BTW: I have a 6' hose to connect to a 20# tank. I just connect it to one of the TT's tanks on the front. Easier than modifying the grill.

Ours is the red one, and no, no water pan.

Bikendan gas grills, gas appliances are LP, low pressure.
Your bottles are HP but you have regulators for gas range, refrigerator, etc in the trailer.

We have the Coleman Road trip Classic. We have the adapter to hook up to motorhome propane. Works great. I put foil down under grates to help with cleanup.

Being fulltime, my Weber Q 2200 has lived either in the back of my truck or setup at camp. I fill my truck bed with stuff- as long as none of it is higher than the fifth wheel hitch or bed rails.

Weber Q1200. Converted it to quick connect, but have a quick connect that also makes it bottle capable if needed.
Put it on a popup table yo give more room.

what about a "Coleman Stove" type appliance

When I shopped around for low pressure appliances I ended up with

https://amzn.to/2Kk69q6

OK for grilling but what if I just want a burner I can put a pot on? (Like an old fashioned Coleman stove) I would rather boil potatoes outside.

Any recommendations?
