Tire pressure

checked my pressure and they all 4 were 70 psi, sticker and tires said 50 psi max(cold). I've checked the lug nuts before but never tire pressure, they came that way from the factory. Anyone else have this happen? I let them out to 50 psi, is this right?

Had you just finished towing it or was that cold pressure? If it was after towing any distance and in high temp. it may be just heat build up, altho it is a little high especially if they are nitrogen filled. If it is cold pressure, by all means deflate them to 50 psi as the tire states.

That was cold, been in the driveway since Sunday. And they are nitrogen filled, I was kinda shocked to say the least, that means while towing in this heat they had to head up to at least 75psi plus??? Lucky I only have towed it 60 miles one way at a time and nothing very far, huh!!

I doubt they would gain 5# being nitrogen filled, but letting them down was the right thing to do. Mine are just filled with air and in 90+ heat, start off at 50# and go to around 59-61 depending on which side is in the sun and that's after 150-200 miles. I have the TST TMS on mine. Temperature will jump 15°-20°.

Mine came from the factory with 1 at 70, 1 at 60 and 2 at 50. I just happened to check them the next morning after I got it home. so much for dealer prep.

When I picked mine up from the dealer, I broke out my pressure gauge and the dealer said they just checked them and they were all at 50 psi. I checked them a couple of days later and I had 1 @ 85 psi, 1 @ 82 psi (both on the left side), 1 @ 52 psi, and 1 @ 50 psi. I will never trust a dealer again.
