Original Tires are a common complaint on the forum. I purchased a 2012 from some one who had put a lot of miles on them they were cupped and worn bad. I replaced then with Goodyear Marathon tires. I like the way it handles now. No complaints. But have heard Maxxis is a good tire. But I have had good luck with good year tires and think I will stay with what works.

I have new maxxis m8008 205/75/r15 load range D paid for and waiting to be put on. I have a 2012 sand storm toy hauler that weighs about 6500 loaded and it came with load range c tires and they are junk only have about 2000 miles and they are done for. I have heard nothing but good things about these maxxis tires that is why I went with them. Nothing against good year just not a fan. But either two of these brands will probably be everyone suggestion. Oh and don't forget to get metal valve stem installed also.

I like the goodyear marathons but they don't make a 10 ply load range e in the 225 75 15's so the maxxis is the a good option but I think the maxxis is a china built tire like gladiators and well I think all the others. I have run the 8 ply tires on the toy haulers and blew 2 so I went to the 10 ply and problem solved so when I bought my 295 wp last year I had them add a spare for 2 spares and change all tires to 10 ply with date stamps of 2012. the 10 ply will make it a little bouncy at times if you do not have shocks or the ez flex equalizer on the axles, empty that is and loaded handles great!

The marathons are also made in china. I don't think any of the trailer tires are made here in America any more. My maxxis have made in Taiwan stamped on them.

I don't know if the marathons are made in china too but so far I haven't been able to find any in the 10 ply that are in my size. I found a cooper brand that claimed it was on line but when I finally found them they were stamped china too. just have had the best luck with the 225 75 15 10 ply other wise if I had time I would change them to 235 80 16's for the best set up and towing.

I pulled my trailer home from the dealer and replaced the tires on mine with Maxxis 8008. Like wyo700, I also went from a load range C tire to a load range D. So far the Maxxis are doing well. I read alot of reviews and don't believe I ever saw a bad review on them.

So you have bought the tires but have not put them on yet. So how can you say they are so great when you have not even used them yet.

I'm not saying they are great like stated above I made my decision based on reviews on here and other websites. I have not read anything bad yet. Enough people said these tires were great so argue with them not me. But they sure made my decision easier. And I said nothing about me saying they are great I said in my first post that I have heard nothing but good things.

I have stated on here several times that I like Greenball Towmaster tires. They are a Canadian company but pretty sure the tires are made in China like everything else.

I use these on my boat trailer which sees much harsher duty than my TT with great results.

Yep, the Gorge will have to do until I can get into the Mountains! Actually I usally make a few trips to the lake every year. If you go early or late there aren't many people and it isn't half bad!
