Traded for a 255RR

Went Saturday and traded our 2016 26RR Gray Wolf for the new 255RR
Cherokee 5th wheel we pick it up in two weeks it has a lot more storage
same floor plan looks like there is enough room for me to add a generator in the front storage area

new 255rr

We traded our 29fqc TT toy hauler for a new Cherokee 255rr last month. Haven't camped in it yet, cause we still have snow here in SD. It's our first 5th wheel, so I put about 50 miles on it towing it around home to get a feel for how it tows. Love it so far. The walk-in pantry is what sold my wife on it! I love having the bedroom and bath "upstairs". Even though it doesn't have a slide, we still have more daytime living space than in our old TT. DW transferred everything we had in the TT, and still has empty cupboards and storage space left over! I'm sure they will fill up over time. LOL. Huge pass thru storage and 8' ramp/door. Also has black tank flush, and pre wired for back up cam and solar power. I'll try to add a pic. Not my strong suit.

I've been looking at this 5th wheel but TH manufacturers fail on giving all needed dimensions inside!!

Can anyone provide dimensions from back door to that sink's base cabinet, then from cabinet across to the opposite wall? I'd need to see if my RZR XP1K would fit. Much appreciated!

Sorry I don’t have the exact dimensions you need right now. Camper is at the storage lot. I can tell you the distance to the sink base cabinet is about 6 feet. The distance from the sink cabinet drawer handles to the opposite folded up couch is about 66 inches. My sidexside is 60 inches wide, so I have about 3 inches clearance on each side. When loaded, I’m a little off center to the right. I back it in if my wife is there to spot me. Hope this helps.

That does help, thx! What SxS do you have? I have a RZR XP 1000 and stock is 64", but I've added after market wheels and have sagging springs. I'm pushed out to about 70"

Sounds like I could angle it like you said but would still have to ratchet the front a-arms in to get narrower

I had a rzr 800 for six years. I wanted something new and different, so I went with the cfmoto ZFORCE 800 ext with eps. It comes with everything but the windshield for under 10k. I ordered the doors from a guy in Russia. I've had it almost 2 years, and so far we love it. The wife and I don't ride real hard stuff anymore, but I think it could handle just about anything my rzr did.

HI folks, sorry to revive an old thread. I've been doing some research on the 255RR and found out there's a discrepancy with how manufacturers define the length of a fifth wheel. The brochure for this trailer indicates the exterior length is 29'9". Can anyone confirm where that measurement is to and from? I'm trying to find out how long it is from the rear bumper to the pin. Thank you.

Rarely does the model number indicate actual length.

Agreed. And because every manufacturer has their own way of determining exterior length, you can't always rely on the manufacturer's brochure information to tell you what you need/want to know. Got excited when I came across the 255RR as the FR brochure indicates exterior length is 29'9". Would like to keep it under 30ft if at all possible.
