TV Mounted When Traveling

I just bought a new 2016 Grey Wolf 26RR and had a question regarding the TV mounts. I like the idea of being able to move the TV from inside to outside. But I am not sure I trust the rock wall mount to hold the TV during travel. How are others traveling with their TVs? Mounted during travel, or stored away until you reach camp?

I do not have the same unit as you do but after swapping out the 19 inch for a 32 and 4000+ mile trip to Texas and back the wall mount and tv are just fine.

I use a LevelMount and the tv stays mounted all the time. It's a 29" tv and it's pretty light. The mount is a double swivel mount and it's never moved during travel.

I'd say it all depends on the mount and the size and weight of the tv.

I have my bedroom TV on articulating arm and lock it down for travel with a seatbelt type strap mounted to the wall above and below the TV. Kind of cradles the TV in the strap and reduces bounce. Also have 3" pieces of pool noodle behind the TV that cushion it when locked down.

Our TV / camper came strap to keep it against the wall. Other than taking it outside we keep it mounted to the wall. Been there several years with no issues.

we have had a couple of trailers with 36 inch TV's installed and never have had an issue with towing and having the TV still attached to the wall.
if you set it tight against the wall you should not have an issue either.
you may have one if its extended like 2 feet from the wall as the weight will bounce at a different point.

TV Mounted when travelling

I also have a Grey Wolf and have 2 TV's that I leave mounted. I have secured each one with a heavy duty zip tie around the TV mount. Have travelled more than 3000 miles and with no issues or movement. Works great!!

Picked up my new 2017 Flagstaff 832okbs last week. It came with two mounted Furrion tvs. The mounts have a store position on the mount that locks the tv flat to the wall with a strong rubber lock. Pretty neat, we are on maiden voyage, 130 moles or so and neither tv has moved. Maybe the new mounts are something FR is starting to use.
