Water pump

So I've never used my water pump before, and this will probably be a dumb question... can I just turn it on and it runs when needed when it senses a pressure loss or is it more of a turn it on only for duration of pumping water?

Pressure on demand. It'll turn off on its own.

You do have to turn on button on control panel to on but it will only run when needed

But won't it use up battery if left on? Unless you're hooked up to power.

Only true voltage is when it is running, other then that just the light that is on the the switch. Your CO detector will pull more then the light.

My pump is working great. I know this because I have a leak and have to keep filling my fresh water tank and use that. I located the leak after removing the panel under the bath vanity, and it's seeping out of one of the t valves where the hoses intersect. I tightened everything I could. Thought it was a pressure issue but use a regulator and have a filter.

Forgot to mention I noticed water dripping under the wheel well . That when I figured something was wrong

I had water dripping by the wheel well as well. I thought that was just an overflow line from when I filled it up. It stopped after a short period after filling

drb1984 the water dripping was most likely the overflow tube since it stopped. If it was a fresh water line leaking you would see water all the time when the pump is on and the pump would come on for no reason quite often.
