I taped up everything to not allow water to intrude inside until it is repaired but we already have a family trip booked for 8 nights next week. Do you all think I'm OK to still go on my trip. Or would it be better to have everything checked out before towing it for a couple hundred miles?

Glad everyone is ok. I hope you can get your trailer repaired too. Someday this will be a good story around a camp fire. Meanwhile, I would have someone check the trailer and hitch. Make sure everything is still in alignment and sound.

You need to contact your insurance company immediately and follow their instructions on further use and repair.

Sorry to hear about your trailer being totaled. Hopefully you are looking forward to a new TT. Or you can repair this one yourself. My folks did that after a nasty hail storm. They used the TT a couple of years and then sold it. It was like getting paid twice.
