We made it and having a great time!

Well the last 2 nights we stayed in south Carolina, today we arrived in Gatlinburg TN for the next 4 nights. Everything has been perfect so far, really enjoying ourselves

Beautiful area! We love Townsend and Cade's Cove. Check out tubing on the Little River in Townsend on a hot day.

Townsend

We are staying at Big Meadow campground in Townsend this October. Any suggestions on sites or events we should be sure to see? There are so many options I don't know where to start. We were in Asheville last year and know this is pretty country.

We met some friends from Michigan in Kentucky last October, and stayed for a long weekend of riding. We came down from Minnesota. Didn't hall our 26RR, stayed at resort in Pigeon Forge. Beautiful area!

Roaring Fork (no RV's though) is a road to see - especially for waterfalls. Fairly short and very scenic. (Don't burn up your brakes). Greenbriar area is good (east side of the park). Newfound Gap road is pretty but is the main thoroughfare from Gatlinburg to Cherokee, NC. Newfound Gap is a scenic spot. There are a couple of campgrounds in the park also.

If you have a motorcycle and want some excitement, out of the Townsend area is Deal's Gap which has Tail of the Dragon: http://tailofthedragon.com/. Just be careful if you try it or you could end up on the Tree of Shame (if it's still there).

We stayed in Cosby right outside Gatlinburg in a campground called imagination mountain camp resort, it was beautiful. Then we stayed right in the cherohala skyway at Indian boundary state park.
