Sorry to hear about the accident hope you are back up and running soon.

Just a heads up. You still have access to the kitchen area in the 27rr when the slide is pulled in. and as long as you catch any major issues before they fester and keep the seals clean and the top of slide clear of any debris, you wont have any issues with leakage. Also the front queen bed sleeping area does have a curtain to close to get some privacy. For us the pros of having a separated garage outweighed the con of no seperated master bedroom.

We really enjoy our 27RR, we use the garage entrance when camping as a mudroom and not having our toys in our living space is nice, we can also do quick overnight stops/rest areas without moving the slide (just don't put anything you really need in the cabinet just below TV, door won't open fully, and the queen is not a walk around which is the only downfalls I can find.

Other thing we noticed is the shower not being enclosed and the toilet looks awfully close to tub to sit comfortably

Also with it being a 12' garage is there anyway you could open the door to bathroom if you wanted to haul a larger canoe or kayak?

Do you mind me asking what is a good RV insurance carrier. On our last TT we had Progressive through USAA and it was awful. Hail storm damaged our trailer and they refused to pay for it. I had two different places confirm hail damage. We just bought another TT . We went with Geico but wAnt a good carrier that will pay out in the event of another hail storm or any other unavoidable damage.

When I haul my Harley, I keep the door to bathroom closed, the chock and straps in the way, if you angle canoe or kayak at angle then the door should be clear.

We have progressive and had full replacement policy. They came out and were really easy to deal with and are working to get a brand new unit in my driveway as I speak. Even let us take out the totaled camper on our last trip bc we had a trip booked. I would highly recommend
