Well looks like she may be totaled
As from my other post that included pics of the damage, the insurance company came today and their initial thought is most likely a total loss. We are still going to take it on our next trip and then we'll have to bring it to repair facility when we get back for final word. I just upgraded the ac, the rims and tires, tinted the windows and other small mods. I'm wondering if it would be worth it to remove those items, instead of fighting with then to replace with exactly what I have...

IMO I would take back off the accessories and Mods you added because you will probably be adding them to your new one. Not sure about air upgrade did you add another or just get a different. I would not take anything away from trailer that already came with trailer. If you had the old parts to swap out then I assume that would be ok. Did your policy have replacement cost? If so I'd gather your receipts and have them add to the cost of your replacement or have all upgrades done to your replacement before taking possession of it.

Totaled the 26rr
So the insurance company said they are totaling it out. The wife and I love this trailer but feel like we should at least look at what else might be out there. I like the fact the 26rr us a camper first then toy hauler to us anyway. Wondering if anyone knew any other models that are similar in size and weight that we might look at before buying another 26rr

Hope you kept receipts for all the upgrades you did. My HiLo was totaled out earlier this year, which allowed us to purchase our '13 Flagstaff. I was able to negotiate an additional payout due to upgrades and maintenance we had done to it.

Remove all of the 'add-ons' that you can. You will not be reimbursed for them if you 'let them go with the trailer'.
As an example, if you have 'stabilizers' and you added scissor jacks... the insurance company will not compensate you for the add on scissor jacks. Remove them now while it is in your possession as you will not have a chance later when the insurance company hands over a check and hauls it away. the unit and everything on it will then belong to the insurance company.

I agree with having the receipts for any mods. We had an old car totaled. I showed all the recent repair and upgrades we did and got an additional $1000. Not bad for a 20 year old car.

Got rear-ended in 2014. Insurance company totaled the trailer. Would not cover any add-ons. Gave me 2 weeks to remove the add-ons. Got them all off along with a few other items, since it was going to be scrapped.

Your ' agent (or you)' may have committed fraud against his insurance company. the 'add on' stuff is yours and you can remove them from the vehicle, but the insurance company has no obligation to 'buy' the 'add on' items (mods) that you installed. Any 'repairs' is part of 'maintenance and cosmetic' and will only add to a higher rating in the 'Blue Book' value. Receipts may show that you 'think' that you added value to your vehicle, but you may not have been paying the higher value insurance RATE for those add on's. Again.... some one may have committed fraud, either on the front end....(rates) or the back end.....(pay out).
We will now revisit your policy and ask for a refund and reprimand our (former) agent for trying to over ride company policies.

No fraud. Any insurance claim can be negotiated. We only proved the value of our vehicle was better than blue book average retail.

Removing add-ons
When my last TT was totaled, I had put brand new tires on all the way around less than a year earlier. Rather than fight with my insurance company about the tires, I had the RV dealer where the TT was at for what I thought was service, remove the new tires and install 4 pieces of junk tires I got at a junk yard. I removed everything I had added on to the TT without stripping it of things like the fridge, a/c, microwave, etc., as those are standard. My insurance company did pay me for improvements I had made to the TT and was unable/unwilling to remove (I had to give them copies of receipts) such as an electric tongue jack, etc. If you don't have receipts for your add-ons or they were added more than a year ago, I would pull them and not say a word to your insurance company. My insurance company never even looked at my TT again once it was decided the coach would be totaled as the coach was going to auction to be parted out. The RV dealer had literally ripped the interior of the TT apart removing flooring to expose the mold damage and the TT was trashed so no one cared what I took or left. Probably could have stripped it down to nothing but did not.

I looked at a 27rr online. Concerns I had was maintenance and leak issues with slide outs, also not being able to access camper while traveling. My wife likes to be able to make sandwiches and things while traveling. Also dislike the no door to bedroom with the 27rr...

My toad was totalled by an 18 wheeler on my last trip home. I was pleased to learn that my insurance included $1500 in "modifications" to the vehicle. Over $1300 of that was added to the car's value to cover the towing assembly (parts + labor) and replacement package parts cost for the braking system.
The control uint for the braking system and all of the taillight diodes were removed and will be used for the replacement vehicle.

Your saga would be so much easier to follow if you stuck with just one thread.
