Wolf Pup 17rp cooling?

Has anyone done any camping in some real heat in one of these? Does the 5k btu side mount ac do a good job keeping it cool in 100 degree weather. I have already ordered my trailer so I hope it does okay.

I can't speak for that exact model but I camped in 110 degree weather a few years ago in my 19RR and my AC unit kept us nice and cool all day long. We basically set out at 6 AM for rides in the hills of Branson and were back by noon or 1 to relax. Again, not sure what you have installed (or will have) but maybe it's some hope.

It has a side mount window unit. I'm just a little nervous about the Texas heat.

I wouldn't be surprised if it cooled it just fine. The only thing I would be concerned about is getting the air to circulate up to the bed. In my 19rr it works fine because one vent is pointed up to the bedroom. Close the curtain and it gets stuffy up there. Fortunately for us there is no need for a curtain. You could remedy with a fan. One way to find out right? You already signed. Enjoy it and congrats!

Just pulled the side mount air unit out of my wolf pup toy hauler. I ran it yesterday and the next thing I knew there was water running everywhere inside the hauler. It seemed to me that when they folded the corners of the drip pan the could have at least used a little sealer to seal the holes that were left in the corners. Also ther was a couple pieces of wood and trim just laying there to prop the drain pan up. I didnt think it was high enuff in the front so I added some aluminum 1/8 thick over the trim piece which I cut and glued and stapled in place before screwing the aluminum down over top of that . I also screwed the piece of wood stopping the unit from going to far forward in place. With the heat yesterday and he humidity the unit was making a lot of water but it still should have drained better than it did. I am really unimpressed on how they just toss stuff together and sell them for a high price. Oh ya I have ran this unit before and I think at 5k its too small for the 17 rp .

We have the one with the ceiling unit. Used this weekend in 88 degrees and had to turn it off bc it got too cold inside. It's such a small space it cools down quickly

We are camping in ours for the 4th of July weekend. It's 101 degrees outside. We are inside the trailer with blankets on us. We have it on the coldest setting and lowest for blowing the air out. Maybe we should be outside instead of inside with blankets. Our unit is a 2015 wolf pup limited 17RP
