My wife and I are owners of a 2014 Wolf Pup 17RP Toy Hauler. I read this entire post before posting here. I checked and our axle is rated foe 5200 lbs so that should not be an issue. My tow vehicle is a V6 (truck-Based) SUV rated for 5,000 lbs. After a maiden voyage towing 350 miles, I installed a weight distributing hitch. Towing with the V6 is not ideal but the SUV is a spare vehicle so I am not so concerned about wear and tear. It has an OEM transmission cooler and class III hitch.
This is my first RV and I know little to nothing. I purchased it to haul one or both of my motorcycles to events. After two events where I rode 500 miles each way, and encountered major storms along the way, I decided to lose the hardcore rider label and arrive safe and sound. Here are some initial pictures. I am still researching the best wheel chocking solutions.
