Question 2016 E450 6.8L Intake Manifold Bolt Missing

I recently open the dog house in my Motorhome and saw what appears to be a missing bolt and possible broken intake manifold. Has anyone seen this on there units? The picture is the right rear closest to the fire wall from inside the MH.

I'm not familiar with that engine but I think that is the EGR pipe. Does look like the manifold is broken in the picture. Check engine light or exhaust noise?

I've reached out to the Ford Motorhome Divison and they said that this manifold can be used on many engines and that some ports are not used so unless it's not running rough then it must be okay. I sure would like another MH owner to weigh in if they have a similar engine.

Our Ford E450's V10 has the same strange open gasket. I don’t know why it's that way. No problem.

The intake could not be used on any other engine. It's only for a V10. Other manifolds, such as for marine service or LPG fuel, could be used with those heads. Maybe that's what the extra gasket hole is for.

Cool Partial Open Port

It's very strange that Ford made no attempt to at least put a blank over that partial open port. It runs fine but can make someone think something really bad is going on.
