Our Georgetown is 3 months old and the past 2 days the generator has been shutting down intermittedly and now will turn over but won't start. Oil chnaged and full, gas tank full. Does anyone have any suggestions for a quick fix?

Did the Onan dealer replaced the fuel pump yet?

No, but that is what we were thinking. Is this a common problem for them, even though it is new?

Are you smelling gas inside the MH?

There is a problem with Onan's doing this.

I have an 8k diesel Onan that quit altogether. It was flashing a code 17 indicating a fuel pump problem but turned out to be a software update needed. Onan knows about this as a common problem - but - they only give access to those codes to specific dealers. I'm still waiting to get mine fixed.

If your Onan acts like it's going start, and maybe even does for about 2 to 3 seconds.... STOP trying to crank it over! Mine was flashing a fuel delivery code so I kept checking everything and kept on cranking to see if it would start. Turns out it was the black control module. Just in the 3 seconds it was running it was killing the guts of the genny. In my attempts to fix the problem it burn out the brushes and ruined the armature. Ended up costing about 2700 to fix it.
