I use these:
Halotron 2 5lb Fire Extinguisher Clean Agent Halguard Amerex B385TS H3R Halon | eBay

They are a liquid so much neater to use, no clean up. No powder to settle either.

After 25 years in fire service i can tell you if a propane fire starts in that compartment, you will not be able to access that extinguisher.

My thoughts too, I would think you'd be better served to have an exterior extinguisher, but as far away from a flammable point as possible on your MH. Most of us aren't fireman, it's just a MH our lives and injury is more important. With that said if that compartment is on fire, run like hell, call your insurance agent.
