Adding insulation to a Lexington

Has anyone had sucess blocking the heat from the slide outs in a Lexington. Our air conditioner can't keep it comfortable, and never seems to shut off.

One thing you can do is to add insullated curtains to the windows by using spring rods from Walmart. My wife made curtains for the TT and they work great.

Question:

Has your Lexinton all ways had this problem?
What part of the country are you camping in?
How long is the Lexinton?
What size A/C unit do you have 13,500, 15,000 BTU?
Where is the return located in the ceiling, middle of the camper,or more towards the rear, etc?
Dose the A/C seem to work better after the sun go's down?
Is the filter clean in the return grill? and if so is this performed on a regular bases?
As far as the fan go's is the fan switch in the on position or on the auto position?
Can you hear the compressor running while the unit is on?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Something to check:

If you are using the A/C all day check the supply temp at the discharge vents, Check in the morning, then mid day, and again as the sun go's down.
