Aftermarket Seat belt options for car seats

I have been looking online and talking to Forest River about options for seatbelts for car seats. I have not been able to find any information about how to replace the seatbelt at the dinette. I would really like a five point harness or a three point harness option for installation, as an aftermarket installation . Does anybody know about this topic that have been dealing with the same situation that I have been dealing with? I would like a self retracting seatbelt instead of the extended straps that are currently on the dinette therefore, I can lock up the seatbelt with the car seat in place.

It's a real shame, that RV dealerships and manufactures have not acknowledge folks traveling with kids in car seats in a class A motorhome. Especially since the new wave of class A motorhomes with bunks. Three point harness seatbelts are much safer than the lapbelt that are currently in the dinettes.

Depending on the size of the child, just strap in the high back booster with the supplied lap belt.
No different than a car, which arent equipped with 5 pt harnesses either

I am doing that now, I was looking for something more sophisticated. I have one in a car seat and one that is Ina booster. But a booster seat is not recommended with a lap belt, so I need a 3 point harness or something like that.

There are racing 5-point harnesses available. You would bolt them to the frame in the dinette. Check on-line with racing performance dealers.

I had to add two additional seat belts in my 2014 Berkshire. I took it to a company in Tampa that specialized in mobility solutions for the handicapped because they were certified to do the installation. Most RV shops will just say they don't do seat belts without further explanation. The reason is that there is significant liability to them for an equipment failure. Lazydays recommended these folks which was a big help.

Can you give me more information on the additional seatbelts that you had installed? Were they three point harness seatbelts or additional lap belts for the other side of the dinette? Can you provide a few pictures?

I only had lap belts installed. I suspect that you can have anything installed that you want. It is only a matter of costs.

Sorry, I don't have any pictures for you.
